Literally saw this for the first time only about 2 months ago. How the fuck did this pass me by? One of the best quintessentially 80s movies I've ever seen.

I knew I'd heard that tagline somewhere before...
The Hills Have Eyes is from the 70's. Excellent fucking movie though.
That's my point, the tagline on the film that user I replied to posted is almost identical to a movie that came out in the 70's.
Sorry. Drinking.

1978 but feels more 80's than 70's
It downright feels late 70s, mate.
Every John Carpenter movie starring Kurt Russell.
Double feature time!

it truly is
it's the kind of DUDE REMEMBER THE EIGHTIES pastiche they've been pumping out for the last decade, only it was actually made in the '80s
no more than a 5-6/10 thanks to watered-down plot and a frankly awful performance by jami gertz, but downey jr and spader are terrific and for setting/atmosphere alone it's worth at least one watch. great soundtrack too
underlooked
Loved it
oh hell yes

I was on the fence, because I don't like Chevy Chase in general, but you have turn the tide
Badass poster for a badass movie son

I saw this for the first time not long ago and it's such a clusterfuck of a movie I didn't know what to make of it.
It has that 80's action b-movie style and attitude, but was somehow nominated for several Oscars. Including best actor and supporting actor. I have no idea how because it's overacting, a cheesy script and Eric Roberts doing an awful accent.
do any 80's fiends have comments on this movie?

They look like video game characters there

Top-5 zombie movie of all time. Amazing soundtrack to.

So what you're saying is the entire Alien saga boils down to the bonus situation?
Very underrated movie, I used to watch it all the time as a kid.
HELL'S BELLS.
Exactly.
I jerked off to this part like 50 times as a kid
