Be lowly worker in the EU

>be lowly worker in the EU
>Brexit happens
>think to myself fuck yeh, finally a slap in the face, maybe some of the big-shots will wake the fuck up and start seeing the truth
>new council presidency
>go to hear their ideas with hope for the first time since I started working in this shithole
>fuck yeah about to hear some real shit
>"everything is great, we're amazing, it's the people who don't understand us, fuck them"
>"we need to waste more money on indoctrinating the people on how great we are"
>"young people don't vote for us because they don't have any responsibility, we need to be all modern and talk to them with SOCIAL MEDIA"
>meanwhile half the young people in the fucking union don't have a goddamn job

This place has to fucking close. Bring back the communities, fuck the institutions, minimize it and pack in all useless crap.

EU is a shithole discussion thread, i guess.

Are you the guy that was dropping some info in brit/pol/ pre-brexit?

If I answer positively will this thread devolve in a quoting of Farage at me memefest?

good luck with Italy

Belgexit when?

Yeh, thanks. I'm not feeling terribly optimistic about them right now...

>implying this place will exit the only thing that gives it any credibility whatsoever

Besides, Belgians are massive, gigantic pussies. They are seriously xenophobic and closed-off, they are conservative as fuck.

And yet this country is overrun by immigrants and they take control of everything.

I heard a story of how this Belgian once was in a car crash caused by a mudslime and the mudslime and his friend took the belgians phone and crashed it on the ground when he tried to call the police.

So he ran.

Bunch of bitches imo.

>>meanwhile half the young people in the fucking union don't have a goddamn job
Is that an exaggeration or is it really that bad? Either way, it's one of the big issues that makes me seriously wonder what kind of future this continent is supposed to have.

I can't find the official statistic (typical of the commission to hide crap like this under complicated numbers), but here you go:

statista.com/statistics/266228/youth-unemployment-rate-in-eu-countries/

It is very, very bad.

The problem is that the EU is pouring oil into the fire by failing in financial and immigration policies, so youth unemployment is not being solved but rather worsened.

Oxit next!

Did a thing

Austria benefits from membership desu

All you need is someone to ignore EU shit on borders

Idk, I've always been against using Turkey as an argument agianst the EU right now. Because things are still balanced AGAINST letting the Turks in and giving them visas.

Of course, if the balance shifts or Aunt Merkel forces us, I'll admit my mistake.

It would be extremely memetic

>"everything is great, we're amazing, it's the people who don't understand us, fuck them"

Personally I cannot wait for this filth to be brought to justice. Just today I read an article in the newspaper about how the referendum as a tool is "fundamentally undemocratic".

Being pro-technocracy is a disease.

...for damp rag

It was mostly the dutch who were talking about all that.

You all pretend to be pretty redpilled in Sup Forums, yet you produce this ridiculous political class. And your only claim to any sort of redpillness is that clown Wilders.

If the Dutch are redpilled, why are there no politicians to represent this? Why did a referendum being ignored produce nothing?

I suspect the pussiness of the Belgians goes for you too. Except, well, you have some sort of claim to a history and a culture so you have grounds to pretend thats not true.

You know how it is, it's in our culture to be well behaved. The majority of the people have had enough of how the EU works, yet they don't really do anything about it. We voted against the EU twice, in 2005 and earlier this year, both with the same result (= ignored).

I can only hope Wilders' prediction comes true, and next year the people finally fucking rise up against this ridiculous political class.

>it's in our culture to be well behaved

You mean pussies.

>and next year the people finally fucking rise up against this ridiculous political class.

Idk I've been to the Netherlands, I have Dutch friends. Everyone is fed up to the extreme with the political class and has been for years, but nothing has happened.

I mean, 10% in 2012 for a supposed "anti-establishment" thing.

Unfortunately for you, the Netherlands isn't going to get hurt economically any time soon and until it does, people will be too comfortable and scared to rise up.

It's a bit different this time around. Unless something big happens, it's nearly guaranteed Wilders' party becomes the largest, although that is by no means enough to rule by yourself in our system. It's customary that the winner of the election provides the Prime Minister.

Current situation is that no one really wants to work with Wilders. If they want to pass him and form a government of their own, they'll need 5-6 different parties - 2-3 parties being the usual. It would be a complete shitshow and horribly unstable.

There's going to be a very large amount of very angry voters if they try to pass him by though. Hence Wilders' prediction of an uprising, if they do.

Family, your entire country has said what they what, three times now, and been completely ignored. There has been no uprising.

If 25% of the vote or whatever is ignored, that will not suddenly cause an uprising.

I'm sorry, but it's the bitter truth.

That said, Wilders is a joke and so is his party. Yeh, yeh, muh right-wing anti-islam. I get it. But I think that deep down you also realize that he is just the least smelly piece of shit on offer at your buffet.

Nah people have had enough. Especially the lower classes are on the brink of chimping out. They already have, a few times.

And it's not just Wilders that wants out. Socialists and the pensioners' party are done with the EU as well. It'd be closer to 40% of the vote.

>meanwhile half the young people in the fucking union don't have a goddamn job

It's closer to 25%, not a fantastic improvement.

>And it's not just Wilders that wants out. Socialists and the pensioners' party are done with the EU as well.

Who's talking about EXITING the EU as such?

That would be one of the most retarded things you could ever do.

Reducing your participation, sure. Reducing contribution, sure. Removing the Parliament, sure.

But LEAVING? What's the fucking point in that? I mean, your immigration policy is fucked domestically and leaving won't really fix it. And you get a big fat bonus out of single market as the economy you are.

If you are basing your hopes for the country on Nexit, you are in for a very bleak future.

Meh, Germany skews the statistic a lot. Also the UK has a lower youth unemployment and lots of people, with it out I'm sure it rises to at least 28%.

That's still catastrophically bad. And the worst part of it all is how Spain and Italy have around 40%.

Walloon scum detected. No sane Flemish man supports the EU.

What's the general opinion of EU staff? Are you a minority?
Also, is everyone pissed at the UK?

...

No one wants to leave the common market. Most of the nexit supporters want a Switzerland/Norway type deal where they are still part of the common market but are subject to significantly less Brussels legislation. There's also a lot of support for leaving the Euro.

I highly doubt it really matters. The EU won't last another decade anyway. If it's not Nexit it will be Öxit or Fixit. If it's not an exit it'll be another Eurozone crisis, courtesy of Deutsche Bank. If it's not a financial crisis it'll be the impending second wave of migration crisis from North Africa that's already getting underway.

EU is done.

Thank god.
