Why doesn't this show have a fucking "erstwhile on Fargo" sorta thing where they remind me how the last episode ended? I'm watching on a weekly basis, accompanied by nightly drugs and drinking. A little refresher would be nice. As of now, I gotta find a stream of the previous ep and watch the last few minutes just to get back in the groove.

Also Dan Stevens is more attractive than Plaza. No homo, bitch is busted af.

From what I gathered in addition to dying in the real world he was also suffering the mental manipulation of the Shadow King so that's why he was a drooling retard in the dream world, so he wouldn't ever realize he had that power, but then we see Melanie interact with him in the astral plane version of the real world and essentially wake him up and make him fight back against the illusion
