Fernando Torres: 32 big chances missed in 212 Premier League appearances

Fernando Torres: 32 big chances missed in 212 Premier League appearances

Álvaro Morata: 14 big chances missed in 20 Premier League appearances

really makes you think

What's a "big" chance?

A missed chance that makes you think "goddamn, even Chicharito would've scored that".

...

It's Chelsea's curse, Shevchenko, Falcao, >TORRES, Costa, all world class strikers until they played for Chelsea.

Sitter

>costa

Him and drogba weren’t cursed

>Spending £60m on a serial bench rider
The guy wasn't good enough for Juve or Real (twice).

according to who? sounds like some expected goals bullshit

Costa literally went missing for half a season each season.

that's because neither of those two were really world class, just big game players.

morata is not world class either though which i, as a Madrid customer knew even when they sold him, yet even real fans seem adamant that the whole reason "we" suck this year is that the club sold Morata.

Sick and tired of Chelsea buying white strikers desu. Even Costa, despite looking like an abbo, was spanish.

Chelsea need some proper african striker.

Costa got eight match-winners and two final equalisers last season. Literally the PL striker that earned his team the most points, ahead of even Kane.

On top of that he was the main guy/scorer winning the league in 3 of his last 4 seasons. While Morata was busy riding the bench of dominant teams padding his trophy cabinets as a "squad player".

When he feels like playing, Costa is a good striker. The problem is, he's immature and unprofessional, so not only he goes missing for months, he also has no problem playing bad to have the manager fired. And people forget all of this as soon as he scores again, like Chelsea fans did.
Then there is his terrible record in cup games.

People remember only the good parts of Costa.

dumb spaghetti

dumb potato nigger

Dumb nigger.

And yet, judging by his goals, his capacity to turn a game and his contribution to consecutive titles, it's more than evident that Costa's good far outweights the bad in his time at Chelsea. Conte dun' goofed there.

And the whole team went missing in 15/16, Costa wasn't even one of the worst performers (Ivanovic, Fábregas, Oscar, Matic, even Hazard)

Do you think the '9' Curse was actually a Voodoo spell?

dumb inbred cowboy

CHI

You now remember Hazard's 15/16 season

>4 goals and 4 assists in PL + CL

Assard somehow is the only """""""""""""""""""""world-class player""""""""""""""""""""""" that is somehow completely immune to criticism, from both press and football-watchers.

Last I checked world-class players don't go missing for a whole season trying to get their manager fired, but what do I know?

the premier league needed a poster boy in the dire years

they all missed the moment to let go after the quality picked up again

Number 9 shirt at Chelsea also worn by:

>Sutton
>Kezman
>Crespo
>BOULAHROUZ
>SIDWELL
>Di Santo
>Torres
>Fallcow

fucker had no chance, it's cursed

Giggs is considered an all-time Prem great yet in the 24 seasons he played he only managed to score more than 10 goals in all competitions five times. Giggs' highest tally for a season ever in all competitions is 17. Meanwhile Sterling has scored more than 10 goals in 5 consecutive seasons and already has 18 this season.

Giggs never hit the heights that he should have. He completely dropped off after the 90s.

Can say the same thing about Arsenal.
>Lucas Pérez
>Podolski
>Chu-Young Park
>Eduardo
>Júlio Baptista
>Reyes
>Jeffers
>Suker

Though going from having Bergkamp wearing #10 to having Gallas being the first person after him to wear it is a disgrace unlike any other.

Yeah, Giggs is quite overrated. A mix of nostalgia and the younger generations being social media idiots with no attention span.

As is Alan Shearer, who statpadded boatloads in the 90s, an era in which the Premier League wasn't even a top 3, perhaps not even a top 5 league, with basically United (and later Arsenal) as the only good team, as english club football still limped from the 80s ban on european football. He barely did anything for the NT as well, other than scoring vs minnows (unlike Lineker who actually was a world-class striker and scored against the big boys).

It's ridiculous that every someone mentions Premier League goalscoring record the media refers to him. Please, the likes of Aguero, Henry and even Kane did it in much more competitive times, against far superior opponents.

Costa was amazing for chelsea
