I remember being so hype for this finale that I got up at 6am to watch it on local ABC affiliate rather than wait until 12pm to watch it on the affiliate in the next state over.

That's the biggest tragedy of RPM, so few people saw it when it was on TV because most affiliates either aired it at odd hours or didn't air it at all.
