I thought it was pretty redpilled. One of my top 5 favorites of all time.

Literally how?

It's good, Adolf was a genuine fucking madman by 1945

Cool, I have been watching a bunch of WW2 stuff lately and a good bit of it was inaccurate and or blue pilled.

It was a realistic portrayal of the downfall of the Reich. It didn't portray Hitler as a caricature of himself like all the other movies do.

Surprised the cucked krauts managed to make it as accurate as they did.

I'm surprised they didn't replace the swastikas with smiley faces or something.

Best movie made on the topic.
>inb4 hitler fanboys

kek

Since we're on the topic, best WW2 films (that I can recall from the top of my head):

The Bridge on the River Kwai
The Halls of Montezuma
The Longest Day
The Guns of Navarone
Tora! Tora! Tora!
Patton
Das Boot
A Bridge Too Far

Downfall is great.

Have you guys ever seen Anthony Hopkins portray Hitler in basically the exact same film as Downfall called The Bunker? It's possibly one of the worst acting performances I have ever seen.

youtube.com/watch?v=Di2bA3QMbfc

Have you seen "come and see"? any good? Ive gotten that recommend to me aswell.

I'm watching it now. the dubbed version is shit tier

hahah downfall dude please watch this in german or kill yourself it's Der Untergang

Welp, sad to hear

come and see is bolshevik schlock

Is his eyebrows paralyzed? Or rather his whole face looks paralyzed except lower jaw (hidden jew reference?).

Why dont you watch it and decide for yourself?

This. It's pretty much just the gommie's Schindler's List.

Let's get some more eurofilms here

Stalingrad
Talvisota
Flammen og Citronen
Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter
Sophie Scholl
Under sandet
Max Manus
The Pianist
The Counterfeiters

I am going to watch it, Doesnt hurt to ask others that have if its worth it, If its shit jew propaganda then id rather not waste time.

Why's that?

the Downfall version is in German, just with subtitles. not all of us have time to learn nouns with twice as many letters in them than the entire alphabet.

Eine Frau in Berlin ?

>shit jew propaganda

Watch it for the brilliant and powerful lead performance. It's a great movie no matter what your political alliances are. People who cannot see the art of it are too far inside their own asses.

Thin red line
Letters from iwp Jima

Most of the European war has to follow the good vs evil formula or the film will not get funding. This makes it sort of boring.

>Russians aren't raping and look like Central Asians

Inaccurate movie desu

First heard of it from the following clip, just never got around to watching it.

youtube.com/watch?v=BFr5MIx1Tgk

Makes you feel bad for H-dog. Pretty red-pilled desu. The spoof scene is legit really fucking amazing.

ooh shit so americans are shit tier like germans, french, .. when it comes to dubbing the fucking title?
> lord of the rings = der herr der ringe in german

Hitler by 1945 was by all accounts a lunatic. He had completely lost it by that point. The movie hammers that home pretty well. He just sits in his war room and plays Risk all day. Moving around armies that only exist on his map and flips out if anyone questions the validity of his plans.

There was actually a bit of an outcry by the German media because they thought it bad that Hitler was "humanised", IE he didn't eat enough Jewish children for breakfast. Hitler is a madman in the movie, but not the cartoonish kind Hollywood likes to show us. Rather it's the broken down shell of a man-kind of lunatic.

Pretty good movie, and balanced at that (even if sometimes Hitler's actor overplays a lot, like the famous "NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN" moment). It looks at the last days of the third Reich from the perspective of Hitler's stewardt and that's one of the few movies I've watched where you can feel empathy for german people instead of "LOL LOL NAZIS EVIL LETERALLY HITLER".

It also doesn't go full Sup Forums "LOL GAS THE KIKES HEHEHEHE so edgy"

I've noticed this too in American movies. European theatre - gung-ho, murica fuck yeah, these men died for a worthy cause.
Pacific theatre - war is pointless, what are we doing here, this is terrible, this is for nothing, i'm feeling philosophical. Thin Red Line and Saving Private Ryan came out in the same year and somehow made it obvious.

What the actual fuck are you on about?

...

Its a brilliant movie.

You can really tell the old typist woman they got for the movie really embellished her lines.

Whenever the younger version of her speaks it feels so out of place and preachy in comparison to the rest of the dialouge.

I hate it whenever people try to save face, it'd be a hell of a lot different if the axis won. Whatever she told to the writers is most likely bullshit.

Whenever her scenes came up I always skipped them.

NEIN NEIN NEIN is from inglorious bastards if I'm correct, which WAS jew propaganda

>Europe: Driving to Paris, then Amsterdam, then Berlin and kicking nazi ass
>Pacific: hopping between island mountain fortresses with insane japs, and in the end it was just to have an airbase close enough to bomb the fucks into surrendering

i'm sure you can see why we feel that way

You are right, my bad.

Movies are art. Art is protected under freedom of speech, unlike actual speech. Other exception is education. If you wonder about why computer games aren't allowed to have swastikas and shiiiieeeet, those aren't art or educational, just entertainment.

so you're saying that that's how gis actually felt? I always imagined it had to do with (((narrative))).

It is a good movie however over used in reaction memes.

...

I don't know that for sure, but I know that's how I'd feel

plus its really fucking nasty in the jungle

Hitler escaped to Argentina via ODESSA.

You say that as if it makes sense as a justification

1. Pearl Harbor
2. We fougt the Japs on our own (we don't count Russia)
3. (((Hollywood))) will never give Nazis any humanity in movies, but will the Japs.
4. Americans kind of came into WW2 so it is all treated like Normandy to Berlin. We didn't have a lot of defense or retreating, it was all pushing the front.

Pretty shitty list. Full of non-war movies, silly over the top movies and shitty movies like Pearl Harbor. If Schindlers List, Inglorious Basterd and The Pianist made it to list it also should include honest exploitation movie like Ilsa - the she wolf of SS and Salo - 120 days of sodom.

>We fougt the Japs on our own (we don't count Russia)
Wat?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burma_Campaign

You're right, I only copied list from Bing. But I have to yield to you and admit it's a pretty shit list. I can only apologize for cluttering up the thread. Let me know and I'll delete the post.

Didn't you know, America defeated the Nazis. They didn't even have to take Berlin, would you imagine. ;)

its a great movie, i personally own it.

its extremely sad although, just that scene where hitler broods over his planned city and explains how it was his dream - "and still is"

really hits home. the man played his best hand and lost it all.

For americans European theater was civilized war. It was led by guy who ensuered that troops will get rest and leaves if possible. Only few really shitty battles, most notable one being bastogne.

Pacific theater was led by guy who did not give a fuck about his troops, so they ended up in mud and rain on random island often for months at time. And after battle rest periods were in places without civilization.

In Europe they only shot like 25% of pows, in pacific it was more fucked up in that regard.

it's pretty accurate

no need for that. I just pointed out the obvious.

It diminishes the true horror of his regime by portraying him as a madman, didn't like the film.

>You say that as if it makes sense as a justification

Just saying what current generation krauts use as justification. I would be fine with their shit if their censorship would not affect rest of Europe, honestly Germany and other censorshit countries like Australia should set up as localization region separately from rest of the world, make versions for games where everything potentially offensive is censored. Drug, nazis, tits.... everything. Making games even shittier for anti-free speech countries.

They made Hitler an angry midget, not redpilled at all.

it was full of half truths and plain out lies
for instance Hitlers secretary Traudl Junge said in an interview that Hitler never screamed like in the movie, even in the last days she was in the bunker

Fucking Yanks, what didn't you do on your own?

because we dont have enough movies about the (((true))) horror he caused

if you're cool you'll go to *8*chan

Share you top 5 please.

David Irving said they portrayed Hitler during that point in time very accurately/

Born Gertraud Humps

Downfall is great. Really anything portraying the Gotterdammerung period is a good time.
>mfw the Soviets liberate Berlin
