Towers were engineered to take direct hits from a Boeing 707.Care to guess which plane is bigger between 757 or 707???? 707 is heavier, carried more people, more fuel and could achieve higher speed.....AND THE BUILDINGS were engineered to take a direct hit from it. try again sunshine.

Typical jet fuel can't melt construction steel, because it burns at a lower temperature. However, burning fuel can make the steel more flexible/elastic, so it's not able to support the same load anymore.
