Because, and I know this is strange, I don't actually like the AR-15. It's a perfectly fine gun, but it comes with too much stigma. My Mini-14 is my main gun right now, sitting pretty next to a Marlin 45-70, an Ithaca 12 Gage, and when I'm not carrying it, my Shield 9. I might one day buy an ar-45 pistol for my car, but... that's about it.

But I don't need a gun to feel secure. It's super liberating.
