If he runs, I'm voting for him.

Get a job you degenerates

What the fuck 1k a month? You're killing all the drug addicts by enabling them to get more drugs. Fuck that's dumb. Anyone else can get out of their shithole if they actually try.

Fuck Yang

He's just a republican in the Democratic party

>$1k/month for Americans
>no money for H1Bs and illegals
I like it

>You're killing all the drug addicts by enabling them to get more drugs
So it solves itself.

Yang's not gonna win but UBI is something we'll need. Automation is gonna replace people.

He'll never get a nomination, and that's all that matters.

If whoever gets the nomination puts him in some cabinet role that would be good too!

Or, maybe the best idea ever! No more drug addicts.

1000 dollars a month why not i vote yang

Capitalist stooge

All Democrats are Republicans

Eh, I suppose. I suppose I would even settle for a Biden/Yang ticket, but I don't think he's going to make it. UBI is too socialist for Americans, not even Europe has managed to figure out a way to implement it yet.

>UBI is too socialist for Americans
Welfare isn't socialism.

Try telling that to the average American voter. It doesn't go well.

i prefer yang to become president rather than low iq fag biden

Does anyone realily think he might be the next president? That's just not going to happen...

yellow man

boi is bar

Based Yang

Giving everyone $1000 a month would be disastrous you dumb fucking zoomers

Electrical-Mechanical engineer (technically mechanical but I mostly do electrical design) in industrial automation here. People don't understand how fast automation is going to go. These kiosks have been a thing for 20 years. I remember when they were first introduced as a kid and they're just now taking hold because the installation/material costs are falling while wages are going up (or at least staying the same).

The same thing is happening in all sectors. You have automation developed (or at least proof of concept viability) on the shelf, waiting for the costs to line up. As soon as the expected return on investment (i.e. how long it takes for something to pay for itself) falls below a year, you'll see wide-spread adoption.

Never forget that someday (likely within the next 5-10 years), your menial job will no longer be there. And the jobs that are there will be much more competitive.

But it's my money and I want it NOW

Yes, and then in true American fashion, we look at our struggling neighbors, throw back our heads, laugh, and comfort them with the kind wisdom of "Sucks to be you, doesn't it?"

ubi works as a welfare replacement (as in cutting all other welfare funding and replacing it with blanket payments to all individuals) but funding needs to be higher than $1000/yr

Yeah I'm not sure they understand inflation and why money has value in the first place. If there was a mandatory reinvestment of the money into a privately controlled investment portfolio then I would be more on board.

It's a proof-of-concept sort of thing. It can be adjusted later.

Have a Structured Settlement but Need Cash Now?

What do you do with the 50 year old guy who flipped burgers for a living? Retrain him to be a software dev? Not likely; retraining has been proven not to work. So what do you do with them? Give them some money and keep them like cows until they can die in a humane way and hopefully the next generation will be better.

>What do you do with the 50 year old guy who flipped burgers for a living?
Make fun of him for not going to college and getting a real job. Why should I pay for his bad life choices?

If Republicans can't show compassion for families struggling with health insurance vis a vis Obamacare, what makes you think anyone in the current political climate will approve a UBI?

He's almost as meme as Trump, and MSNBC hates his guts so I at least appreciate that about him. I think "secure the bag" is the most retarded idea ever though. Who tf thinks UBI is not the most stupid shit ever conceived.

Yeah except nobody goes into the store and nobody uses them. We have to want automation. We have to demand automation. When the demand comes in and the households that pump money into suppliers are ready for it, it will happen.

Why would businesses want to produce automation when the end consumer cant afford it? They would be commiting fiscal suicide and it doesn't make sense. The market will adapt to the households that actually get paid. Households will resupply money into the market when they are ready. Economics is hard.

Consider it a super aggressive tax refund. It's not new money being printed, it will be funded by a VAT and other sources, the inflationary amounts will be minimal.

Also, it's $1000/month, not $1000/year.

>Why would businesses want to produce automation when the end consumer cant afford it?
Let's say you're one of the high ups in Food'nStuff inc. You're paying say $50m in labor. With automation, you can cut that number in half and are in the black within a year. That's all they need to hear. They don't give a fuck about the overall economy. They'll think "whatever, Jackass Inc people will be able to buy my stuff while I make more money".

>welfare isnt socialism

Ooookay, taking money from the workers through tax and giving it to others sounds a hell of a lot like socialism... In fact, it is socialism. Not that anyone of you brainlets would know, because you have obviously never had any experience with socialism, however I have.

With that said, it doesnt really matter what you vote for. Trump, Biden or Yang, they all just use the magical printer press to make more money. You are effectively borrowing yourselves into a better way of living by that logic..

And hey, it worked in china, till right about now. Turns out that borrowing works best if you manipulate the markets and make people believe you have a strong economy when you really dont. Atleast not healthy in the slightest.

But as long as you NEETs get your coin to sit around, do nothing, cum in garbage cans, put out cigarettes in your keyboard and masturbate to trap porn, why would you care?

Not to mention that you autistic spergs actually believe that you are intellectual, because you saw the JRE podcast with Andrew Yang.
(Do I have to remind you that you are unemployed and totally worthless degenerates?)

There used to be a saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But im gonna let you american brainlets find that out the hard way. Honestly, I wish Yang would win, it would make for extremely entertaining news daily.

Good luck amerifats, Its sad to see what once was the greatest country in the world continue to hit new lows.

Let's centralize and nationalize the energy and healthcare industries, then make everyone extremely dependent on the government for the basic necessities of their lives. It's not communism, silly, it's "democratic" socialism. The central committee will pick out some socialist candidates for you, and then you get to vote for whichever one you like.

I think he should stick around in politics for about...20 more years before going for president. I think some of his ideas are valid concerns, but they're certainly not the most pressing or immediate.

Also, Yang's UBI promise is basically Trump's wall promise. "Oh it's just a quick, simple fix that has no downsides, you'll love it!"

Also also...I'm fairly certain Yang-Gangers are ONLY bought out in advance by the promise of UBI. They've elected to chase a carrot on a stick to the absolute ignorance of all other policy ideas or plans from other candidates.

He'd probably be the best candidate out of both parties for the job right now.

Ubi would be great if they could implement some sort of rent control.

Because if UBI rolled out tommorow the 1000$ a month that the poor people need would end up going directly into the rich's pocket one way or another.

>But im gonna let you american brainlets find that out the hard way.
That's the best part. Ex-pat living overseas. I get to try and fix the US, and when it doesn't work, I just keep living in a truly civilized country.

He'd be great. Better than the orange pedo and the witch.

I don't need the $1k/month myself, I just like Yang's obsessively analytical nature. I'm a fan of a couple of the other dems, I just don't like them as much as Yang.

Very true - this is me too. Some of the other dems are just not very bright, but Yang and a handful of others are.

meh. UBI is essentially paying you with your own money. making costs go up and value go down isn't really a good idea considering we can't afford to have revenue go down when we're a trillion in deficit. it will just fuck the dollar and send more manufacturing to China, all while making costs rise.

Attached: hmm.jpg (480x360, 8K)

Manufacturing is going to robots. We have to deal somehow.

The answer is to give resources to smart hardworking people who will invest it wisely, not the government.

sure. UBI ain't the way tho.

Very true. It's basically robots paying income tax.

I am working right now, but I'm pretty sure that when my children (or maybe grandkids?) are old enough to work, it's going to be almost nothing but billionaires and homeless folks. UBI is an attempt at getting ahead of it.
