I will reiterate once again: The purpose of UNSG Community is to elevate the game and ourselves as people and as players to the highest levels that are humanly possible.
It is impossible to achieve this goal without dedicated time spent (ideally) every day or at the very least 1 - 3 times a week. Anyone can reach the top if you work hard consistently. The problem (this especially applies to newer players) is that in order to even allow yourself to attain these new heights you must first acquire the requisite knowledge and experience that will assist your personal elevation as a player; this requires you to play the game consistently while allowing yourself to make mistakes. Through making mistakes you open yourself to finding new and creative solutions to ameliorate that which bars you from reaching the next level in your development as a player.

Hey everyone, Khronos here. The purpose of this video is to exemplify a type of player that is not conducive to the attainment of the ultimate goals of this type of community. To reiterate, we strive to not only elevate the metagame to the highest possible level, but to also improve ourselves as players and humans. This type of player however, who is consistently disrespectful to myself and other members of the community, who limits himself through an elaborate set of arbitrary self imposed rules, who just don’t possess the drive nor the desire to improve is wasting not only my time, but his own time as our goals are diametrically opposed to each other. Throughout my experience playing UNS, I’ve encountered this type of player more times than I care to remember. Not only do these types of players lack basic understanding of the fundamental strategies of fighting games, but they also lack the requisite self awareness to even comprehend fallacious thought patterns. You will notice how this player is incapable of adapting to my strategies, as he has never been truly forced to confront them. He continuously cdashes me even though I punish his poor movement and positioning time and again. This type of player paradoxically believes that through limiting himself he can reach higher levels as a player. The problem is that he and I are not even playing the same game. Whereas he allows me to charge chakra under the delusion guise of honorable play. I try to punish every mistake in order to optimize my gameplay to the best of my current ability.
The result is that… I nearly perfect him
In the following slides, you will see this player’s comments after our matches as well as part of the dialogue between us that occurred on discord. Notice that he calls me a spammer, and this is the classic call of the UNS scrub, and this is exactly what I’m trying to avoid.

I’ve dealt with this so many times over the years and Ive gon through phases where I tried to help these people, ive gone through phases where I try and destroy them with every fiber of my being and… im just done. I mean, its gone to the point now where… you know I just don’t care enough. Uhhh I really all I wanna to do is play the game. And I want to play the game at a high level. And I wanna delve into the game with like minded people, and this type of person, and this type of player is not… it’s not possible for… this type of player and the goals of this community to be reconciled. Sigh. So essentially what I’m trying to say is this: we’re a serious community, comprised of serious players who are seriously devoted to advancing the metagame of UNSG. i liked the game but i was so bad at it, i lost in the tutorial 3 times i think, im not good at those kinds of games at all but it was fun
if youre new to being a dm and your friends know it then dont worry too much about messing up, when someone is new to doing something it's expected that youll make mistakes so dont be afraid to make any and learn from them, dont add too much by the way because a lot of it could go unused and you wasted a lot of time making other things that your friends never touched
if youre not capable for feeling positive about something you do or make maybe you should speak with a professional on why this is, if you ask me and im not a professional so take this with a grain of salt but if you want to feel positive about something you do first you need to learn how to like yourself and there are many ways to do this, i find that getting in shape helps out a lot with improving how you think about yourself

they can still have a good experience if you make a few mistakes here and there, as long as they dont mind it and arent very immersed in their characters then mistakes you make wont be hated at all, as long as the effort is seen then youre already pretty good at being the story teller
you might be able to use them in the future but if theyre too specific to the one youre playing currently then they could make your future stories feel samey so you have to take that into account when using them in the future
