There are countries where average salary is as low as 400€ / month. If you then look up renting costs, car costs, food costs, the math just doesn't add up. Numbers say an average person from such a country should be starving/dying.
Living with their parents, not owning a car, use the money they earn to help out with utilities, rent and food I guess. Also doing shady shit on the side, work unofficially ect.
Sebastian Miller
Things are super cheap here.
Evan Roberts
That makes sense for a few people, but everybody? Most people?
Average salary in Peru is 350€ / month. Cheapest single room apartments outside cities are 240€ / month. Basic utilities are 60€ / month. That leaves you 50€ / month for food and transportation. So that's the life an average person in Peru has?
Hunter Ramirez
No one works for the average salary.
Cooper Brooks
spoiler: when salaries are low prices are lower too
Jaxson Flores
Sure, around half of the people work for even less statistically.
I'm aware, but even taking that into account, the math doesn't add up. See for an example.
Angel Morales
Well how did your grandparents survive?
Owen Moore
Pretty much no young adults in latin america live on their own. Even when they get married they still live with their family.
David Brooks
>when salaries are low prices are lower too Not significantly. Like for example Russia other than gas, alcohol and cigarettes it's not much cheaper than here. Actually some products are much more expensive. And take in account average Ivan earns 350€/month. I spent about that on food alone, and groceries are almost in the same price range as here
David Miller
Having more than one job.
Brandon Wilson
I don't know. They're dead, so i can't ask them. But i imagine the situation was very different back then.
So the answer is by not living on their own? A bunch of adults crammed up in a small apartment sharing the costs? That doesn't seem likely.
The average salary is for a full time job. It's extremely hard and exhausting to have two full time jobs and a normal social life. I doubt people have multiple jobs for the entirety of their life just to survive.
Benjamin Roberts
I make 1000 reais/month. Basically, you live with your family and all the salaries together pay for everything. The house belong to the family, so no rent. No car but it's not a problem. Gym, internet and going out 2 or 3 times a month is enough for me, my brother goes boxing but that's it. We also don't eat outside since it's too expensive. No one drinks or smoke here.
Jason Morgan
the averange euro house
Chase Rodriguez
you need to be either a brainlet or an arrogant fucktard not having any idea how it works
Christopher Ward
I'm honestly amazed this amount of people managed to live through history. But I guess their standards were different...
Aiden Reyes
>>So the answer is by not living on their own? A bunch of adults crammed up in a small apartment sharing the costs? That doesn't seem likely.

Enjoy your life, Sloveniabro, I can see that its a good one

Damn it feels good being from a rich country

Decadent bourgeois.

Heh, you don't know anything about life kid
Gabriel Howard
How long was the queue today?
Austin Diaz
>I make 1000 reais/month. Internship? Because that's less than what I earm with mine. 30hrs/week, ~1800 reais plus around ~1000 reais of benefits (Food and transportation). So, ~900~ dollars month.
Brody Baker
No, normal job. 8 to 6.
Christian Perry
The fuck man, I'm sorry.
Grayson Campbell
I can get food from other sources, it's part of basic survival
Zachary Evans
The poor dont only exploiters
Evan Sullivan
What sources? do you have bread/milk lines?
Kayden Reyes
>So what am i missing? Real prices and salaries and shit.
Nathan Cooper
What do you work as?
Justin Diaz
I mean this is probably cultural differences, but that sounds pretty horrible. Sitting around sober with your family (and yes I have big family and love all of them) all day or working, with no hobbies, no drinking or drugs and nothing but a bit of internet for shitposting sounds like hell. Not that I'm rich,t as a student I get 450€/month for living costs, kindergeld and I work on a "farm" part-time to be able to afford some luxuries
Nicholas Roberts
Of course, you can get bread easily in the capital and the area surrounding it. I'm at the moment close to the capital so there isn't a problem with that, and about milk, that's a luxury right now. Hunting and using your environment, you can do pretty good arepas with platano based flour instead of using processed corn flour for example
Dominic Gomez
>tfw upper middle >tfw my parents cover all my costs and give me money to go on holidays
Jaxson Taylor
Not sure if I'm being memed
Julian Hughes
Dude what the fuck I thought it was kinda a meme but it's actually that bad? Milk is a luxury?
Grayson Clark
>spics have to work 10 hours per day to live in a 500 sq ft apartment with 4 other people this makes me feel better about being shit on 24/7 for being a leaf.
Hudson Morgan
At least spics can actually dream about owning a house, unlike leafs who pay 2k of rent and 1million usd for a meme wooden house thanks to Mr.chung lee the chinese investor
Matthew Long
Not the same user, but average people doesn't own or rent a house or apartment not by themselves. Usually they live in a room, yes a single room, rented to the owner of the house, who lives in the first floor.
Rent for these rooms are a bit cheap from $60 to $150. If you want to live in a apartment, you would need a roommate to share costs. Obviously you have must use public transportation, cars are out of budget for most of people. Unless you have an old second-hand car.
Food is cheap but entertainment is not.
Nathaniel Watson
Wtf, I thought Perú was doing well
Xavier Young
Fucking roasted
Evan Powell
>afford a house on 800 USD per month. high school kids make more than you here.
Ian Howard
if im not mistaken they use some weird substitute for milk
Landon Peterson
>At least spics can actually dream about owning a house What if Mr. Chang comes for 'investment'? They are not only fucking up housing market of developed countries like Canada or NZ. They also mess with housing market in Cambodia and Laos. Wonder if they go for Africa and Latin America as the next target
Sebastian Nelson

Cameron Carter
Selling and delivering car oil (motor, brakes, etc).
I go a lot to the lagoon and a park near my house, it's really fun. The parties near here are good too. And you have a problem if you need drugs to deal with life.
Asher Green
I thought mostly rich fags speak English in Brazil. Since they take expensive private lessons and travel etc.
Evan Edwards
Well, you would be suprised of what communism can achieve. I see people everyday eating literal garbage from the streets, i don't know how much this society can handle, but the misery it's absolutely ridiculous for a country that is a few kilometers close to the most powerful nation on earth. No dude, i'm absolutely stunned of how we haven't collapsed yet.
Kayden Taylor
There's an interesting story on the NYtimes page right now
A village in India where its residents rely solely on farming, yet face literally killer heat where farmers die on the field from how hot it is, and recent droughts means no water or food sometimes for days yet they cannot move out due to poverty. Life is fucking hard for many people on Earth lads, many of us on this board are lucky.
Colton Bell
Well, I'm talking about the capital or coastal cities. Maybe in Andean or Amazonian cities this gets better.
Consider that Lima is a megacity and good jobs usually concentrate in 8 small and rich municipalities, where real state is fucking expensive.
Government says is working to develope other provinces or medium-sized cities. But the only city crossing 1 million population is Lima. I wish I could go to Arequipa but it's too quiet and has only 2 or 3 malls...
Ethan Williams
>why are some countries poorer than mine?
Xavier Adams
At least our kids are chilean
Nolan Diaz
I can read and write, but I can't speak. Sup Forums and PS2 games are helping a lot.
Jayden Jackson

Jack Cruz
I think leafs placed a tax over chinese buyers but its 15% only.
Cameron Gonzalez
Rich coming from a leaf
>a FUCKING LEAF calling someone else a mongrel
aint you bussy spreading your ass for ahmed the paki bull from brampton?
Ayden Long
Because of that leaf tax, now those Chinese buyers in Hongcouver are going to Seattle. And SF, LA, and NYC have been already fucked by Chinese buyers. Hopefully those Chinese don't target some other big cities like Boston or Chicago
Charles Butler
Sometimes i'm glad of living here, since we are allowed to be racist and prevent chinks and niggers from doing whatever they want
Matthew Murphy
fucking leaf uses 3rd world cunts situation as an excuse to not feel like a total loser. no wonder you are so butthurt about us.
Leo Adams
They're doing it in London too
Wyatt Sanders
I am glad that Chinese aren't doing this shit in where I live (Florida) yet but I am not sure what it will look like if I relocate to LA, SF, NYC, or Seattle for my work in a few years. Hopefully Chinese economy collapses and these 'buyers' gtfo to their country.
Jose Watson
Ah, but that's the thing, investing here would be a terrible idea, because what most people do is just spend a good chunk of their lives building their own homes from the ground up. Chang could only really fuck over the wealthy people that can afford to live in downtown areas, but the majority of the population will either live just outside the city center, probably in homes that have been in the family for a couple of generations, or in a favela if you want to live close to the city, and Chang isn't going up there.
Justin Perez
They really are a bunch of fucking rats
Jordan Gray

Low GST 6% Govt subsidise everything, even terrorists are smuggling our sugar and fuel. Cheap domestic car Produce own petrochemical and fuel, $0.5/litre Only past certain amount then you need to pay income tax Large family housing Live in outskirt and buy a car is cheaper than public transport that few people use. Build your own house, 15k usd can buy you land and bangladesh slave to build your house. Both parents working. Even my local burger flipper is 100kg, nobody starves these days even with 500usd/month. Even beggars can get leftover rice, fish and veges after peak hours from food outlets.
Lincoln Walker
>And you have a problem if you need drugs to deal with life. Oh absolutely, massive problems, I really wasn't trying to be insulting, your description just sounded pretty trist, but it's prob just different culture.
Compared to the cost of living and stuff I probably have less than him, maybe try thinking before you post
Samuel James
>big boyz why don't you invade vietnam and crush them i feel you can do it vietnamese can't fight
Andrew Jones
Also, I'm supposing you talk about independent people who don't live with his parents. Because a lot of lazy people live with their parents and only inherit their houses, that's lame for me.
Kevin Stewart
2fat for jihad now. Now more american fast food are coming in and everyone can afford cheap beef and lamb from Aus/NZ. Every eid celebration we had excess of dozens of kg of free beef because there are not enough poor people around and local mosque just sends cows and sheep to Africa/Infochina just because they can afford it. Even fasting month becomes pray then chat while snacking every night or grilling something.
Easton Moore
It wasn't insulting, it's just surprising to see the "I need a drink/drug to handle this" in real life. I always thought it was just the media pushing this shit to sell beer, I never expected a person talking like this.
Noah Wilson
It's german culture. They need it now more than ever.
James Price
well good, that means you are prosperous now! fat means rich.
Benjamin Green
This is the state of the country right now, even the health ministry are panicking since we subsidise medical treatment and my grandma had MRI for just usd 0.30. Also we are busy enough just securing Malacca strait and no amphibious ship whatsoever since the former USS Spartanburg County was destroyed in a fire.
Wyatt Bell
No it's more like you've never seen my family
Jack Morales
>250kg you start beating us in our own game. ummm, do you have walmarts? scooters? sharts? it must be about the similar looking flags but seriously it must one fat fuck in the whole country it just made the news.
Owen Robinson
>US >Malaysia >Both with red and white stripes on flags >both fat really makes you think
Grayson Brooks
No walmart but Tesco but now Ikea is trying to tap the market with 900million SEA logistic centre here. No scooter but 125cc bikes for anything further than 200m. No sharts for now only 20yr old who is too fat to climb stairs and dying from diabetes at 30. That guy is in the news but firemen are complaining about the many they had to go lift because they could not fit into the ambulance that didn't go into the news. Even mosque sermon turns into get fit, Allah dislikes too much excess. Moved too fast from labour based economy to service while retaining same high calorie diet that increased in portion along with economic growth. Just 3 decades ago my parents were eating fried grasshopper with rice.
David Thomas
amazing stuff if you are not memeing me. reminds me of some other nations getting obese quick since they adopted western diet. but you are not quite like those pacific islands since you have been economically ok since long time ago. so i would guess you did have access to the western sugar rich diet since decades ago.
Nathaniel Wood
>How do people from poor countries survive? You fail to understand that there are more millionaires here, at least in my country than th ntirety of th population of your country. Being unequal =/= poor. Also i'm gonna repeat what basically everyone itt has already said. verything is cheaper here. If you say rent is $300 a month (Not gonna use your currency), you assume is shared with someone else, don't be dense my man
Benjamin Turner
>there are over 2 million millionaires in columbia
Christopher Phillips
>If you then look up renting costs, car costs, food costs That's the problem, how do you "look"? Through the internet, right? These people use informal ways.
Elijah Scott
>tfw parents are pieces of shit
You're lucky user, don't ever forget that.
Carter Flores
we have 50 million people over here, so 2 million people making more than the average Slovenian would actually be on the low side of the estimate. 10 million would probably be a closer figure
Jeremiah Peterson
You said there are more millionaires in columbia than there are people in slovenia, which is simply not true
Liam Jenkins
are we talking about Columbian pesos millionaires or actual USD millionaires?
because you are grossly overestimating the number of millionaires there are in the world if you're talking USD.
Andrew Martin
Cost of living is super duper low
Easton Cooper
Some portions of america I still can't quite figure out the dynamics.
Like Reno Nevada, the place has fucking garbage wages in almost every field. Every business is intent on fucking over its own employees and housing is absurdly expensive for that type of a shit hole.
But, somehow, they manage.
Cooper Cruz
Americans are literal slaves
Cooper Hughes
I think that the average salary here is exactly that if not 20-30 euros higher and people survive just fine because for a single person, living out a month will cost you ~150 euros in rent, ~150 euros in food and the rest 100 euros for whatever else. If you're not fat or are living with your parents, the cost can drop by 200 euros to a total of about 150-200 euros per month in expenses, but I'm not counting cars, luxury shit and going out regularly
But here's the problem - if you're working in Bulgaria then you're doing the whole living in Bulgaria wrong. Living in Bulgaria is supposed to be done by not working here and finding an alternative overseas income independent of the shit wages while using the retardedly-low 10% tax to not lose that income, along with the low living expenses to keep as much of it as possible. There are Bulgarians who manage to pull that but migrate to the West anyway, and in my opinion those people are truly fucking retarded. Why would you migrate to Germany to get yourself taxed 3 times more so you can be forced to contribute for refugee quotas?
John Jackson
>tfw making $3k/month in this super cheap country
Live like a king here. Wouldn't know how other poor shits survive.
Michael Ross
That's not upper middle that's manchild (unless you're still a student obvs). I know people who come from families worth hundreds of millions and they work to live. It has nothing to do with class.
Luke Anderson
To be fair your food is pretty fucking delicious.
Blake Nelson
Yes. The upper class here, which actually has more purchasing power than the average middle class Slovenian, or whatever middle class European for that matter, is ABSOLUTELY bigger then the 3 million inhabitants Slovenia has. Idgaf about your memes. Even Ethiopia has more millionaires than the whole population of Slovenia. Do you honestly think rich people only live in 1st world special snowflake countries?
Joshua Mitchell
you sound upset lmao
Juan Brooks
this I love it in the West I'd be a povo even if I was making more here the tax is so low and cost of living is even lower I can own my own house, go out most nights, travel every weekend, and afford a nice motorbike
Brody Brown
but income of above 40k USD (yearly) is taxed at 35%, how is that tax "so low"?
Jayden Taylor
that's just because communism it evens out with loopholes and other things to get around it
Hunter Richardson
>slovenia has only 2million people
damn, my town is 1/3 its population
Christopher Rogers
Colombia had 36,000 HNW individuals (this counts millionaires and billionaires) back in 2012 so unless they magically increased 100x in the last 5 years then you're talking shit.
>people still don't know just how bad the situation in venezuela really is wew, it's sad desu, wish they could recover
Noah Taylor
let me break my living costs per month down for y'all:
>1 USD = 3,29 BRL (all values are in BRL) Salary: 2000 + 400 fuel costs + meal costs for lunch ( I'm an intern 9am-2pm job with one our for lunch) Transport (Motorcycle): 160 for insurance + 40 for repairs/oil (gás is paid by my employer) Rent: 300 a month ( I rent a room in rich friend's condo) + 300/400 for water, internet, electricity, gas and ocasional reapairs (It's double but I split with her) >Food: 300 since I only eat breakfast and dinner at home ( I go to others peoples places all the time to hang out and eat there, like 3-4 a week counting weekends, so that helps keep this low) >Fun: 500 can buy me beers at a bar every weekend but I usually go to my friends beach/summer/winter homes on the weekend and there the bose and the food are free ( the gas is also mostly free due to the fact that I have leftover gas cuz I get enought to go to work by car using 9 Km/L of fuel and my bike makes 31/35 Km/L) >When I'm bored I use my bike to deliver UberEats so I can make up to 800 on the side each month >The leftover money and the Uber cash I put on a low risk fund ( I'm studying to start investing on the future )
