I never watched star wars, what's the best watch order?

the movies with picard are the best

For first time, watch them in the order they were released.
After that watch them however you like.

I, II, III, Rogue One, IV, V, VI, VII

This is the only logical order to watch them in.

456,123,7,RO

New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Genndy's Clone Wars.
you can also watch Space Balls

Start with TFA. it's safe to ignore all of the previous movies because they are relics of a previous era.

this

Lucky for you, they are numbered in order.

This is actually a pretty interesting question nowadays. Depending on how much more they fill in the gaps we might eventually get to a point where watching the films in chronological order may be better than release order. Currently the only real reason to watch in original release order is because the initial movie works so well, and to maintain the ESB twist.

A movie like Rogue 1 makes things interesting, because it does make ANH better(at least in theory- put aside whether or not you like it), but there's also a few things in it that only hold merit if you are already familiar with the movies that come after it.

watch A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back then jump right to The Force Awakens and skip all the rest

Production order. This is true for basically everything.

III then stop

Start with these and you can`t go wrong.
1. The Ewok Adventure
2. Ewoks: The Battle for Endor

Start with 3, then on to RO, followed by the OT aka 4/5/6. Skip 7. Only watch 1 + 2 if you still feel like something extra.

Don't bother.
They're all fucking shit.

In that order:
>Rogue One
>V
>II
>Christmas Special
>III
Skip the rest.

>all these people saying "release order" to maintain the Vader twist

I'd agree if it wasn't for the fact that everyone knows it already via cultural osmosis. I would've agreed anyway even a year ago except now Rogue One is the 4th best Star Wars movie 5th if you're going to count Genndy-Wars and takes place so shortly before Episode IV.

So I'm going to say:
I > II > Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars > III > Rogue One > IV > V > VI > VII

4, 5, 6

>missing all the glorious Sheev
Honestly, fuck off. There are sites for people like you where you would be among your own kind.

4, Holiday Special,5,6,1,2,3,RO,4. Holiday Special,5,6,7

>I watch movies for the epic memes
back to plebbit

This. Only possible watch order.

I still don't know who the fuck Sheev is.

Sheev Palpatine of course.

Patricians detected

Some will say release order, others will say chronological order. And then you will have those who assert that machete order by and far provides for the best viewing experience.

Me? I'd go with 2 > 4 -> 6 -> 3 -> 1 -> 7 -> 5. It really centralizes the motifs of disorder and confusion in the process of attaining true enlightenment

'Bout tree-fiddy.

>Christmas special
shot on video bro. not cannon at all.

4, 5, 6, (7) or (1,2,3) first then the other, R1

first the theatrical releases of the original trilogy (torrent the 35mm prints), then the prequels, then the special editons of the original trilogy from the bluray, ignore the disney films.

that way you reinforce the cyclical narrative of the six films.

i shot your mum on video bro. she compared my pecker to a cannon.

shooting porn does not qualify as cannon kino. only film does that. also not funny bro. my mom is dead.
