Seriously this movie is literally like a child rationalizing away how absolutely fucked their situation is with imagined magic and wonder. It's literally a little girl being forced to live inside her own head to avoid how shitty her life is and pretend that their fucking not even Brazilian favela tier shit hole of a "community" isn't as completely fucked as it really is.
