This is a great movie. My friends and I watch it all the time. Really, really underrated.
You've also got Shock Treatment, the spiritual successor to Paradise and Rocky Horror. Rocky Horror is great, too, but the fans miss the point entirely and thus ruin the experience.
Sweeney Todd was well-done for a film adaption, but the original Broadway show is the best incarnation of that one. Sondheim is a genius.
Repo! The Genetic Opera is entertaining in the right mood. Could definitely have used some work, and I think they tried to cash in on the Zeitgeist at the time too much... Attempted to make it a Rocky Horror for the 2000's pop-punk/emo era. Very intriguing at the time.
Little Shop of Horrors, with the Directors Cut ending, is really great. Scored by Alan Menken, who did the more popular 90s Disney films.
Many more, but musicals are always overlooked. They need to be tongue-in-cheek, however, to make the suspension of disbelief just right.

One of my favorite things about Phantom of the Paradise is how Paul Williams actually wrote the numbers so that Swan literally steals Winslow Leech's music
