Why is EU a country ?

>not per capita
Into the trash it goes

its helpful for when it actually does become a country

>Norway
Their oil stands for 50% of their export.
I wonder what happens when the oil runs out or we find out how to make synthetic oil

How the fuck does USA make so much money then?

>Ireland exports more than the Netherlands
So this is the power of padraigish delusion

What the FUCK does Ireland export

If your country's economy relies on exports more than 5% of its GDP, your country is a wooden puppet appears to be alive by strings.

You print it

They don't. With net export you subtract the import from the export. So it's a useless measure.

service industry.

Contact lenses I'm using are exported from Ireland.

If you think high GDP and high GDP per capita = making money you are in part wrong
Wages in america are high, but expenses are also high, especially in a society based on consumerism, you have a lot of money in circulation, wealth that has been produced in the past, check how high you are in this list

This is why in Andalucia they are full of big houses with pool depsite having half of the american GDP per capita
Country #1 makes 100 and spends 100, country #2 makes 150 and spends 150, and country #3 makes 125 and spens 110, who is making money?

Ireland is a tax heaven, I guess their exports are inflated by multinational companies registered in their country

I did not know that we exported so little

Euro makes a profit of export for Germany.
If Germany used still Deutsche Mark, they get less profit now, because the currency rate of Deuthsche Mark was higher than Euro.
So Germany have to give money to other EU countries.

Well put

>Kuwait's exports are 38% of their GDP
>Saudi Arabia's exports are 31% of their GDP

mmm...
I wonder what they export

Jesus fuckinf christ are you fucking high schoolers. This is net export not export. Net export=export-import. Net export being positive is an amazing achievement

The US is the biggest market in the world. We produce everything for ourselves so most companies don't bother to export

...

Totally false we have the 2nd biggest exports ib the world but we also have the biggest imports in the world in the world so our net export is negative. Wtf Sup Forums I am disappointed in you.

Making money isn't the same thing as having net export. Net export in general as being a good thing is rejected by most economists. We are at the absolute bottom of "net export" because as much as we make, we also buy even more. This is what a healthy economy does.

We make a ton of exports (2nd only to China), then buy cheap stuff from other countries with the money we make, driving development worldwide.

Meanwhile in Europe, Germany exports a ton of stuff but doesn't buy from others, meaning Greece is left to rot and die. Its separated into "haves" and "have not".

the fuck? Greece is left to rot because they overextended with their spending. they thought they could cover their own asses as long as the world markets kept growing, but the USA's recession literally fucked them. if anything, the USA is more at blame then Germany, but ultimately it was Greece's inability to control their spending that was their downfall.

fake news

You don't rely on exporting? Literally the first thing you learn in economics is y=c+i+g+(x-m)

If that's true why do you import so much?

Then Norway starts doing other things. There's no point in stopping oil exports of it's still profitable.
