>go to foreign country
>surprised when the people don't speak a language other than their own

I thought only Americans did this

what is the best course of action in France? Immediately ask stuff in English or try to say it in French even if it's shitty?

Everyone (should) be able to speak english though. Fuck the fr*nch.

Say it in french even if it's shitty. Always.

>Everyone (should) be able to speak english though
This only applies to countries whose language is utterly irrelevant and bound to disappear in a few decades though

>Everyone (should) be able to speak english though
How to spot the weaks

Whu the fuck would anyone want to live in australia?

For speaking to literal africans maybe.

I am a Hungarian in Vienna, lived here for 2 years, I always get treated like a native speaker because I am good at the language.
I noticed if there is a mate with me who has a thick accent or isn't fluent enough they switch to English immediately.
So either your accent is really heavy or they just want to pracitce their English.

Pardon ?

Austria is a nice, what's your problem with it?

>speak French in France
>HURR DURR YOU HAVE TO BE 100% FLUENT WITH NO ACCENT FOR ME TO SPEAK TO YOU
