What are your favorite movies since 2010? Pic related is probably my crown favorite. I also love a bunch of others:
>Goodbye to Language >Interstellar >A Separation >Whiplash >Birdman >The Revenant >Plemya >The Club >The Social Network >Midnight in Paris >Everybody Wants Some!! >Embrace of the Serpent >Wild Tales >Hard to be a God >Cemetery of Splendor
There are a lot more I thoroughly enjoyed and was moved by, but that's enough for now. What about you lads?
Yeah, it's a great film. Beautiful, good message. I'd say the same about Midnight in Paris. I don't watch a lot of new movies, but for me:
Certified Copy Tree of Life/To the Wonder/Knight of Cups Under the Skin Only God Forgives Grand Budapest Hotel Mad Max: Fury Road Mistress America Entertainment
I've been meaning to watch Entertainment. Is it heartbreaking?
Julian Morales
The social network Inside Llewelyn Davis The master Her Gone girl The lobster Drive
Kayden Barnes
Yea, that's probably fair to say. Especially as it relates to aging, and being alone, not unlike The Comedy. It's really beautifully directed and Gregg's terrific.
Cooper Parker
movie: mad max fury road film: the comedy kino: hard to be a god
Jack Scott
That's awesome, I'll definitely check it out. Thanks, user.
Based on your favorites, you seem to prefer significant spectacle—meaning eye-candy with heart. Therefore, I highly recommend you give at least one of the following a shot:
>Embrace of the Serpent >Arrival >Land of Mine >Kingdom of Heaven - Director's Cut (not post-2010, but it's phenomenal)
Let me know if any of these sound interesting to you.
Cooper Collins
I'm interested in watching La Grande. Is it good lads
Caleb Rodriguez
Just youtube the opening sequence. You will want to watch this.
Xavier Brown
It is endearing, gorgeously shot, highbrow without being pretentious, full of repartee, and vastly empathetic... it is majestic. Watch it.
>The Assassin - possibly my #1 all time >Cemetery of Splendour >Certified Copy >Tree of Life (TTRL was better though) >The Master >Drive >The Lobster >Snowpiercer >Nocturnal Animals >It Follows >Blue is the Warmest Color >Only Lovers Left Alive >Amour (maybe?)
>goodbye to language really? I haven't seen any of his stuff since the 60's, but I hated every single one. Is he still just as much a memeworthy intellectual masturbation faggot as he was back then?
Gavin Williams
i found entertainment to be much weaker than the comedy. it felt like alverson was trying to find scenes to increase the runtime, rather than the comedy, which was just as aimless, but still felt like it was leading up to something (the slideshow scene and the beach). i'd even say turkington's two brief scenes in the comedy were better than entertainment as a whole. but that's just my opinion senpai. i don't like where alverson is going in terms of directing, he wants to make some preachy civil war film about the kkk apparently. have you seen any of alverson's earlier works? i still need to.
Brody Long
I just watched the opening sequence and yeah, i want to watch this. Thanks for reminding me this, i'll watch tomorrow
Owen Kelly
>Holy Motors >Hard to be a God >The Social Network >Whiplash >Gone Girl >Animal Kingdom >Melancholia >Leviathan >Beasts of No Nation >Mad Max: Fury Road >The Handmaiden >It Follows
Easton Anderson

Wow, interesting. Wouldn't expect that to be a very prevalent opinion. May I ask why you like it so much?
>really? >I haven't seen any of his stuff since the 60's, but I hated every single one. >Is he still just as much a memeworthy intellectual masturbation faggot as he was back then?
haha, well, if you don't like his direction in general, you won't like this. There's no denying there's an air of pretentiousness to his filmmaking.
Elijah Hall
>The Lobster
Jayden Hernandez
...
Hunter Baker
Is this thematically similar to Primer? Would you rate it as inferior or superior to that?
Also, is this dude's seafaring epic ever coming out?
Brandon Phillips
I find this movie to be a disappointment to be honest What he had in Primer just wasn't there in this movie.
Alexander King
No, vastly superior, and no.
