One thing I've never understood is why people think God is good, or righteous?
I mean... Take Abraham, poor guy was ordered to sacrifice his first born son (Isac) by God. Eventually this turned out to be some sort of test.
Given the claim that God is all knowing, he knew damn well that Abraham was a sick enough fuck to go through with it when asked (apparently). So this was a sick and unnecessary ordeal, one where we'd put people behind bars for, for orchestrating.
The correct, sane, and right response to someone ordering to kill your own son, would be to tell them to go fuck themselves.
So I don't get why God should be considered 'good' (Let's, for argument sake leave out the question on whether he actually exists).
Quoting the bible, in this regards does nothing but present an invalid argument (i.e. the Bible says God = good, Bible is the word of God => God says God is good. similarly, God says God is rightious, all knowing, etc.)
