The days of the church covering up child abuse is behind them. But they still love their secrets. I know my old bishop ordained a man who was accused of sexually assaulting another guy. I also know the same bishop threw an elderly priest under the bus after he became bishop because someone made an accusation, the elderly priest had Alzheimer's and the bishop handed the old bastard over. The priest though, in private, has always maintained his innocence

OP again. Homosexuality is the biggest problem in the clergy right now. We let in a massive amount of fags over the past few decades (less within the last decade, they've been secretly trying to stamp it out) and these priests and bishops are I'm places of power. Heard a story from an old rector that in the 90's and 80's they used to pull the fire alarm late at night and watch who came out of who's room. Had a few guys who would bunk together at night for some "private time". They were just slapped in the wrist and sent back to bed. Used to be if you were a fag they steered you into seminary because "if you were meant to be married, you'd want to sleep with women". A fuckload of bad ideas there.

Studied in Missouri, but thats not my diocese. Id rather not say where I am. Small diocese so it wouldn't be hard to find me.
I didn't leave, I was forced out. Bishop was a prick and did everything in his power to force me out, he confirmed it last we spoke. Political bullshit, man. The church is full of it. If you want to be a priest, keep going. But man, it's tough. Why are you wasting your time?

Sounds like a Catholic church with bad faith formation. My godfather who is a deacon believes homosexuality is a mental illness. The priest for the parish I used to go to believed that transgenderism at least is a mental illness. Find a based church and you wouldn't be telling gullible agnostic kids on Sup Forums what the Church is and is not

No, but I've spent time with a few exorcists. Cool guys, not what you expect. Really jovial, fun guys. But they've seen some shit, I believe it. I have had to work on some demonic cases, instances of possession and helping investigate that

Had one in the diocese somewhat recently. Talked to one of the priests on the investigation. Brain tumor was there, guy had months to live, and then poof, gone. Everything was going well except one scan was missing from the patient's file. Doctors knew it was there, nurses, everyone knew it was missing. It was the latest brainscan to show the inoperability of the tumor. Couldn't find it. Without the scan, couldn't prove definitively the tumor existed despite all the medical staff affirming it was there. Priest was pissed but that's how it goes. Evidence in miracles aren't taken lightly and one small thing goes wrong, the whole thing gets binned
