>military ousts democratically elected Morsi from Egypt >Obama says we expect the military to ensure that the rights of all Egyptians are protected, including the right to peaceful assembly, and we call on all who are protesting to do so peacefully.
>Turkish military attempts coup over Islamist leader >Obama says that all parties in Turkey should support the democratically-elected Government of Turkey, show restraint, and avoid any violence or bloodshed

>Turkey overthrown by anti-isis military >Not ok

You can't be seen to back the coup faction if it looks like they're about to lose. Especially when you still need Turkey to be an (at least nominal) ally, because you don't want them to get too close to Russia, because you want them to remain in NATO, and because it's where you launch your half-hearted airstrikes against ISIS from. That's all that this is.
If the coup forces seemed to be on the verge of winning, then you'd hear a different tune from him. Especially since they might actually be better to deal with, in terms of Obama's interests.

Obama supported Morsi, he just knew there was no arguing against his removal.
