Hmm, it think that there are three main reasons why this coup has failed
1. their communication policy they should have given themselves a "bring down this tryant vibe" and annouced that they plan on abolishing his rule and then immediately do a general election. But instead they just silence media outlets and claim to have control 2. they should have killed the head of the beast Erdogan being seized is the most criticla aspect and I cannot understand how they have not managed to do this 3. media control after the inital message they should have focused on taken the media over to increase and silence these channels so that erdogans call to the people would not be heard. they should also have simply shut down the internet and not block specific sites. The mosque issue wsa a problem, but that was unforeseeable and impossible to manage.
Had these things happen, I'd say they have the country by now
