I saw Ian McKellen do Strindberg on Broadway with Helen Mirren, and it was fantastic. I was in the front row, legitimately close enough to grab his foot if I stood up, and I really, really had the urge to do it.

It sounds like a joke, but it totally ruined the immersion. He got close, and he was just standing there, acting and shit, and all I could think about was that there was absolutely nothing stopping me from standing up and grabbing his foot. He'd probably start trying to shake me or kick me off or something, and I'd get kicked out, but what a fucking opportunity.

They've probably had this happen before, and it's not as cool as everyone thought it might be. Bide your time and try to earn a lock of hair user, that's where the real value is.
