I've considered getting a VPN, but wouldn't just resetting my modem change my IP address anyway?

I would not use VPN to stream foreign movies because I simply don't care, I just want to get passed erroneous bans on a certain website.

Also- changing my IP repeatedly would be a pretty good security measure, yeah? I'm about to run a business and I don't want to get haxed.

why stream them fucking torrent with a vpn on
and yeah you can and before you change your ip clean the cookies from your browser.

changing your ip all the time may get you banned on some websites if you dont clean your cookies from your browser and if you dont go to shady parts you wont get hacked.

You are the fucking bomb, man. I seriously appreciate it.

its nothing user

(Asked in another thread but no one has answered)

I have given my email out to 4channers on a few occasions and now I'm thinking that was probably a retarded move. I don't know much about hacking. I'm aware of phishing scams. I've already changed all my passwords (to random gobbledygook) on all my emails and all my accounts across the internet.

My question is, how much can a skilled haxer conceivably do, just knowing your email address?

if this is a bait you got me.

if they dont have your password they cant really do much even if they ask google to give them the password most likely they wont do it the thing they can do tho is sigh you up for porn websites

Why would it be bait? Is my question that retarded? Sorry.

alright anyways i need to go back to work see ya user

bye bye

are you retarded ? nothing you said make any sense.

No offense, but is English not your second language? Do you know what a VPN is? What about IP?

well yes do. My main router is a watchguard running Pfsense and around 5 tplinks running Openwrt and a mini pc Intel NUC running Openwrt x86. I have setup a VPN server and client on these and currently trying out Softether too.

So pretend that I'm just a schmuck who's renting a router/modem from my ISP. Now does my question make sense?

I'm not exactly sure what you want to do. If you only want to change your ip address then resetting your modem/router might do it. Sometimes you might have to drop your IP lease with your isp's DHCP server to get it to change. This can be done at your router.

Now if you want to hide your activity from your ISP a VPN can help with that.

nice backdoor schmuck , ':^)

you could be right. hopefully open hardware with open source will become a thing one day.

want one of these

Can anyone explain how I change my IP address if my modem has it's own MAC address that can't be changed?
