All the people saying they don't test or care about nicotine don't know shit. AZ is one of the few states that allow this. There's a whole org of hospitals I can never get hired at because they test and refuse smokers to work for them. Not sure if they do ongoing tests but they do the initial test on hire.

Last job I had the manager as well as his boss said that one of the reasons I was hired was because I don't smoke. After I had been there awhile they said they wouldn't be hiring smokers anymore because they take up too much time on smoke breaks. It really pissed off some of the other workers that did snoke.

They sit outside and don't do shit. Then wonder why nothing gets done.

They honestly don't pre-test for alcohol too often, under the assumption most people are smart enough not to show up drunk during pre-employment screenings. Usual if they smell it on you you can legally be breathalyzed in most countries/states
