this

How lol

can't everyone's fucking shitting themselves downstairs, might make a new thread with timestamped pic later

he put chlorine in the tank thinking it was salt. I watched them all spazz and die. basically gassed em

Based brother.

the tank had a whole history of war between the orange and black clownfish, they would fight over territory. Clearly a useless war as a nuclear bomb of fucking chlorine killed them off anyways. Who can't tell the fucking difference between chlorine and salt the bucket were different sizes for Christs sake!

I've always wondered what happens to a fresh water fish if you put them in salt water, but i didn't want to risk killing a fish to find out.

If you're cereal then sorry to hear about your fish OP

Your brother is living proof that autism can be deadly.

Checkd n fucking lost it to this one thanks man. RIP fish bros

thanks we're a pretty big family with lots of animals dogs, fish, birds. Even with fish it felt like they had little personalities. I ended up dumping them in the lake. Kept hoping they were only temporarily paralyzed

my sister genocided a freshwater tank with nesquik when we were young. It seems to a genetic trait

>basically gassed em
I approve of based aquatic Hitler

So you put salt water fish in a fresh water lake? Either not OP or just as retarded as your brother

they were dead and non-toxic

My last order of clowns was so ammonia burned they looked like zombies. Only one survived. Still looks like it's from some low budget zombie movie

always found the clownish to be the most resilient. Last one I got out was the one my kid named nemo, last one out of the tank and last one alive.

Wtf he thought it was okay in the first place to add salt directly to the tank?? What a full fledged retard. Wasnt even doing it right in the first place.

Actually if you do this very quickly you can use it to cure external parasites. They do it reverse with salt fish giving them a fresh water dip. The difference in what the parasite are used to makea them fall off.

bump

he's the immature type to joke about stupid shit constantly. the exaggerated stereotype of the uni engineer. He usually means well but fucked up hard this time. I told him to only do stuff to the tank when I'm there. I'll forgive him but fuck does he ever play the victim complex "oh but user this is why I told you to get a freshwater tank."

imma do this with people

Can fish tolerate water type mismatch for any length of time? Like if you leave it in there for 5 minutes, will it die, or will it just feel like it's in really horrible weather?

my wife's going to be way more pissed. she comes from a much classier family and I basically integrated onto their side, she's had enough of his bs. (she helps me maintain the tank)

Just lick her clit for 30 minutes and she'll forget about it...for about a week until she brings it up...AGAIN

She has a pretty one track mind and doesn't hold grudges. She'll probably fake politeness around him, waits till he leaves and rant for an hour (which is always entertaining)

he isn't going to be invited for a while though

Depends on the species of the fish, I've gradually acclimated several live bearer species to full marine, (guppies, mollies, variatus etc.)

What is the problem that disallows the fish from tolerating the opposite water type?

Does it damage their skin? Do their gills oxygen exchange chemistry only work in saline or fresh environments?

My wife came home and she was clearly avoiding eye contact with him, she's usually pretty good at pokerface but this tank means a lot to her. brother has offered to reimburse everything help clean it out and buy new fish. Hopefully we can clean it up before the kids get home

The chlorine probably would have killed fresh water fish... I’m thinking the engineer should stick to nonbiological systems

Probably something about internal salt gradients

Turn into terrarium, get lizards instead.
