in 2013, my high school band director, Scott Carter, cheated on his wife with a student, Izzy Carlson. she was 17, he was 44.
this relationship became public knowledge when students saw the two in public holding hands and kissing. it was reported to the principal on one of the last days of school, spring 2014. by this time, the girl was 18. Carter resigned immediately, and the school admin swept it under the rug.
His wife divorced him, and in august 2018 he and the student got married. He now works at home depot.
This happened at South High School in Minneapolis, MN.

School Faculty saw this message and expelled him, Students rallied and did a student walk out. They petitioned to undo the students expulsion. The student got reinstated and the teacher left and moved to another state. This happened at Rogers High School in Rogers, MN.
