Does this sound right?

I was making $13/hr and earning around $950 a check, bi-weekly.

I got promoted to a new job, making $17/hr and now I earn $1060 a week.

Is the tax bracket really that God damn high? I only make $110 more every 2 weeks with a $4/hr raise full time?

$1060/2 weeks*

Welcome to being white. You slave away so niggers and white trash can live for free without having to work. They eat better than you too.

the more you make, the more they take from it

you're only making an extra $320 in that 2 week period. did you get promoted or switch companies? if you changed companies you may have filled out your tax paperwork incorrectly one of those times.

just so you understand, at that pay ($26k-$34k/yr) you're not paying much in federal income taxes, so tax brackets have nothing to do with it. your payroll taxes are a fixed percentage of income regardless of how much you make, so that won't change it much.

ignore the racist Sup Forumstards, more likely than not you goof'd on your paperwork.

jesus, the MINIMUM wage in new york is 15 bucks an hour. I actually make more than 300 buck an hour.

Pretty much this. I worked $15 an hour and thought if I did overtime which was offered to me, I'd make a lot of money. After they taxed my overtime, I made like $10 an hour on the overtime. If you're single with no kids and not a minority, they ass rape you on taxes. HOWEVER, your tax return will be fucking awesome.

Minimum wage is supposed to be for kids in high school getting job experience. If you're over the age of 21 and not salaried, you severely fucked your life up somewhere.

in general, but not for the working poor like this dude is. also, just understand that tax brackets don't work like OP thinks they do. when you move to a higher tax bracket, only the income in that bracket is taxed at the higher rate, the first however much is taxed the same. again, i think you fucked up your withholding, mate. the next bracket kicks in at like $40k/yr.

indeed, i was wondering why OP is earning shit.

Salary? Paid the same regardless of hours put in? No thank you.

Quit Wal Mart faggot

And better healthcare

>non whites get errthang for free. Only whites a pay taxes

Typical trumptard

lol what a poor person's mentality

You do know that there's a thing called Salaried Non-Exempt where you qualify for OT and you negotiate for the salary you want right?

Yeah, and you probably wanted to be liberal at some point too didn't you? You wonder why working middle class people are republican.
When I hit OT I get hit hard with taxes
>after all insruance, 401k taxes etc
>take home $1,200 bi-weekly
>work a 64 hour week last month
>take home $1,320
>24 hours of OVERTIME to take home $120
>work 48 hours last week
>took home $1280 today
LOL.

My wife is a pharmacist, making $130k a year. She is still hourly. Only a moron takes salary for anything less than $500k a year.

I'm not a trumpcare but he's not wrong. Statistically speaking, blacks account for a massively disproportionate amount of welfare.

as groups literally only white men give more than they take. Literally.

That goes if it’s based purely on income and not on the amount of wealth produced through ones labor

>less than $500k a year.

If you went based on the value produced from ones labor, Asian children are running laps around white men on a give:take ratio

If you went on a value of labor rate, uzbeki cotton farmers and Venezuelan oil riggers are worth more than a whole fucking lot of white men

Bullshit. You're just too stupid to realize that payroll doesn't add overtime to the current paycheck.

And holy fuck don’t get me started on how much more a Japanese factory worker is worth than you.

That's 22% which shouldn't kick in until $40,000 or more. You should probably talk to accounting and payroll to get that straightened out. They should only be taking 12% out.

nope
