you fucking win

It's done over time, the first seeds have been planted.

army go, ppl follow them, they both grab erdogan by his neck and hang him on a tree.

Capture leadership
Deploy to streets
Capture media
Announce coup and explain cause
Show footage of captured leaders

I was honestly surprised all the Turks were not in your country. Who knew some were left in Turkey and not fucking your women.

>How is a successful coup done right?

Conditions must be right. The economy must be bad, people must be annoyed at the government. The leadership must be imprisoned or killed at the very beginning.

This was more like a coup in South America. The Turkish military did not sanction the attempt, the US did not sanction the attempt. It was a petulant act.

>implying the entire thing wasn't a false flag to give Roachep the opportunity to remove opponents and strengthen his dictatorial grip.

Tip #1 Don't plan your coup while the president is out of the country.
Tip #2 Don't fire on civilians.
Tip #3 Don't order your supports to go back home while counter-coup protesters are told to go fight in the streets.
Tip #4 Don't be a ruse for Erdogan to consolidate power, purge rivals, and play the hero.
Tip #5 Don't forget to ask George Soros for permission.

When you wake up, you read the following:
>king roach dead
>government under rebel control
>major chimpous on the streets
>putin worried
>king nigger disappointed
>soros has a heart attack
>civil war in Turkaturk

If you impose martial law you better fucking actually be one hunnet percent serious.

You always capture leadership first

Also you want to start at like 3am so that you catch everyone sleeping and by the time the average citizen wakes up in the morning you are already in power and ready to make a nice official address on the fancy news station ou took over.

You shoot people.

Or kill them.

Top kek

Coups are done momentarily and when no one expects them. That's the definition. Otherwise it's just a gradually changing/dissolving political system.

Sure the failed coup will have its place in the history of Turkey, but in no way is it done over time. There have been successful coups in history, and their effect was perfectly instant, countries waking up as something different from what they slept as.

It has to be real.

Turkey has had 4 coups done right before. Should ask them.

Ask the master

Fug I have a 2nd cousin in Turkaturk

Are you pretending to be retarded again ?

>Coups are done momentarily and when no one expects them.

Everyone expects a coup in Turkey. The country exists in a state of anticipation, just like Thailand.

i bet you voted in

Kill the president, then roll from there

You need to be backed by jews and criminal scum?

Don't do it without capturing the leader you are trying to depose.

Double so when said leader is very popular in the country.

Make sure you actually contain or kill those in power.

Make sure you control the narrative.

Make sure you control critical infrastructure.

Don't go on a wanton killing spree, but do not be afraid to assert your power.

do you think the entire army would have joined if erdogan's plane got shot down by f-16?

This, did they even attempt to get him? At all?

It needs to be quick and decisive. The ratio of executions to combat deaths needs to say high.

Ideally, the sitting ruler and his closest allies are dead before anyone knows what's happening. This is because a key detail is NOT fighting as many people as possible. If you cut off the head early, it's much less likely that someone else rolls the dice on opposing you, for the same reason it's harder to be the first person to step foraward and support something.

At least in the 'old' days, seizing the radio and TV broadcasting centers was essential; if you can use them to convince everyone you're in charge, you effectively ARE in charge. Nowadays, you probably want to have a strong social media game and seize internet and telecommunications centers to support your cyberwarfare teams.

Have the people on your side.
You can´t fight for a secular movement in roachland.
The people in turkey went out and screamed "ELEHUEKBEEEER" while charging the military.

you need to have influence over media first, so you need to talk to the jews

Have a united military establishment. Otherwise, what probably happened is:

1. Turkish infantry gets orders to roll down the street. They think "oh cool, training exercise in the city"
2. Turkish generals announce that they want to REMOVE ERDOGAN
3. Turkish captains/lieutenants/NCOs hears these orders and then think...wait, what the fuck are we getting into here?
4. United police force simply arrests the troops, kebab doesn't get removed

Yeah, see the Chinese revolution. Took 11 uprisings and hundreds smaller ones over 10+ years.

Then part 2 the communist uprising.

Then finally China is made great again.

they bombed the mansion/hotel he was at, but by the time the attack had started he had already left

head shoot the leader. that´s 60% of the job.

cut the head off the snake's body. A withering body is much easier to deal with than a threatening viper.

You only take control of key strategic points of entry, travel, and commerce AFTER you neutralise the threat.

Not that any of this matters, as this was likely a false-flag to centralise power for Erdy, as he's done so successively in the last few months. This whole situation reeks of Reichstag fire.

>"judicial reforms" in the form of firing 2500 judges happens during the coup
>conflicting reports of whether Erdy has power or not
>conflicting reports of exile vs in Constantinople

Turkey has generation coups and they are always successful in checking the Islamists power-hungry behaviour. Strange that this one "failed", don't you think?

Clinton was so much better at toppling friendly governments than Kerry.

You seize the leader and execute him before your hand is even played. No-one to rally behind, chaos ensues.

Civilian coup:

>Kiev / Euromaidan

Military coup:

>Kill anyone who stands in your way

leftist people following army to streets never works thats why they are always doomed to lose

Erdogan wasn't even in Ankara or Istanbul when the coup began. He claimed the resort he was staying at was bombed after he left though.

Hello my Germany friend,

I have a book here, a chapter of which explains succintly how a coup should be put down, from your own history.

fpp.co.uk/books/Hitler/2001/HW_Web_dl.pdf

pages 25-32

I'm no expert, but you probably want to seize power as quickly as possible with minimum losses. Also, once you decide to turn on the government you need to be fully committed in accomplishing your goal. Surrendering is going to just get you killed anyway.

Pol is an expert on memes

And coups

>striking at the king
>not killing the king
Ya blew it.

Step 1: Catch Erdogan
Step 2: Stick a Dragondildo in his Poohole
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit

Well if you grab the nukes in sure you can demand pretty much anything.

Get the CIA to back you and let the right wing death squads go to work

step 1
>act fast
step 2
>kill the president
step 3
>secure the media

now let's see what happened in this """coup"""
step 1
>fail to secure the president and let him ride around in penis shaped flight-paths for an hour
step 2
>act slow as fuck and allow hundreds and hundreds of pro-government propaganda to spew out of Turkey
step 3
>surrender to the government because you were actually following the president's orders the entire time
step 4
>get killed by your own civilians because your president wishes to sacrifice you in the name of the sultanate

>The Kennedy administration had been aware of the coup planning,[3] but Cable 243 from the United States Department of State to US Ambassador to South Vietnam Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., stated that it was US policy[4] not to try to stop it. Lucien Conein, the Central Intelligence Agency’s liaison between the US embassy and the coup planners, told them that the US would not intervene to stop it. Conein also provided funds to the coup leaders.[5]

>The coup was led by General Dương Văn Minh and started on 1 November. It proceeded smoothly as many loyalist leaders were captured after being caught off-guard and casualties were light. Diệm was captured and executed the next day along with his brother and adviser Ngô Đình Nhu.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1963_South_Vietnamese_coup

*Capture/Kill leadership
*Capture massive media
*Do it when ppl are sleeping
*Get in control of the streets
They did everything wrong

Have the people on your side.

In this case, it was pretty damn clear the majority of the roaches want an Islamic government though so the coup didn't work.

egypt

1. you have popular support
2. you decapitate the enemy leadership before the coup has even begun, either with a surprise kidnapping or a bomb or a murder
3. you immediately thereafter seize total control of anything that could be used to organise resistance to your coup. this means enemy administrators, like police departments or civil service, but also things like news agencies and social media. this is the "coup" phase where people will actually realise what you are doing
4. you maintain and expand your control while degrading the ability of loyalists to resist
5. you gain international support
6. you establish a transitional government bound constitutionally to neutrality that has the appearance of being totally separate from the coup leadership - i.e. the general who led the coup forces does not become the new prime minister or the provisional governor
7. you hold free and fair democratic elections verified by international and domestic observers
8. you accept the will of the people
9. you are remembered as a hero who did what was right

Have military support, have police support (or have the military kill them), storm the parliament or any other source of authority, break all outside contact (or have outside support), control the media, slaughter any of the old guard capable of taking power.

Martial law for about 2 weeks, then hold general elections with carefully selected candidates to create legitimacy for your new regime.

You first issue false orders to patsies within the military to occupy public positions as part of "an exercise", then have the media report that the military have "assumed control".

Then in the resulting backlash against this "coup" and "undemocratic military government" you can purge the military, judiciary and public authorities of anyone who doesn't agree with your agenda, simply by claiming they are associated with "the coup".

kek

this.

>Not that any of this matters, as this was likely a false-flag to centralise power for Erdy, as he's done so successively in the last few months. This whole situation reeks of Reichstag fire.

this

it looks fake to me

You don't learn do you?

How long did it take to get Gadaffi ousted, we attacked him and tried to assassinate him (killing his brother by mistake) long before he was eventually ousted.

Coups or "regime change" take a lot of time. As I said, the seeds have been planted.

Wait and see how this plant grows.

>experts in this community

He saved Chile from itself as did Franco with Spain. Look at how shitty Spain has gotten under socialism.

Be in another country then the one you want to change

Find mercenaries

Go back with the mercenaries

Tell them to convince the ppl to against the state by killing certain characters in the politics

Get ppl mad

Turn them against the state and the rest will come

Make sure that you will be in focus in the late game when they start to search who started this shit

Pay the mercenaries from the national's bank

???

Profit

Well, what happened in Turkey pretty much could be compared to the Easter Rising in Ireland, where they only rose up in Dublin, but the other regiments stood down (after receiving conflicting orders)

A civil war broke out for years afterwards. The rebel side won.

When I heard Erdogan was "defiant" and able to actually even give a statement, and wasnt immediately arrested.. I knew it was a sloppy, or partial coup.

the people who can think are always better than who blindly follow but for that precise reason they are doomed to fail
this is also why democracy doesn't work anywhere on earth
you might claim it does but it doesn't, it only keeps the humanity mediocre since only what the masses wants can happen
why the fuck would anyone think people as a group would make the right decision, when did we ever earn such a credit as a species...
all we have ever done was to shit into each other's mouths
man, seriously fuck humanity

Be in a third world country and be backed by western intelligence agencies.

You kill the muzzies
Bam! You win

this

I like this Turkey

>capture/kill heads of state
>establish new leadership
>control the media and spread propaganda
>purge remnants of opposition

It worked for white people for While

>assassinate first

>be setup to take over media and hold it, this includes tv and internet

>don't massacre civilians, but if they don't fear you, you've already lost

These 3 things seem important. Obviously I'm just some dipshit posting nonsense online.

Goddamn. They had so much potential.

>Capture the president and kill him (or have him kill himself)
>Bomb the parliament
>Seize the power of the media, police departments, civil service
>Inform the population that the army is now in charge and there's no turning back
>Anyone in the streets without a permit from their local municipalities will be detained

Trust me, I'm Chilean

It needs to be done swiftly, opposition needs to be terminated shirtly before coup is set in motion.
It needs the backing of the people, or at the very least enough power to make them fear.

Coup in Turkey was orchestrated by incompetents

unfortunately this turkey with hitler dubs is entirely correct.

All democracies either inevitably become corrupt shits which don't listen to their own people, or complete mob rule run by fucking retards.

But then what's the alternative? Monarchy? How can you ensure that the monarch doesn't become corrupt or tyrannical? Government fucking sucks

the only reason democracy works better in the "west" is not because democracy is great, quite the opposite, non democratic elements makes sure that a failsafe system keeps working no matter the elected entity
it's not the president that actually makes the decisions but a group of elites who advise him/her behind the camera and that's just fine, the problem is we don't have such qualified people because of raging nepotism. the advisor to erdogan was her daughter for FUCK SAKE, another one was a kissass wannabe journal who has no idea about anything literally claiming that the "west" tried to kill Erdogan with telekinesis
I'm not shitting you: TELEKINESIS

This is why for most of human history, government has been a powerful monarch. Let the smart elites do what is best instead of the masses

Unfortunately there's no easy answer to your last question. The current best approach seems to be to have so many checks and balances that nobody has the capacity to become corrupt. Even that's only valid so long as they're very difficult to dismantle, or else they become useless. For example, Erdogan has destroyed the turkish checks and balances system and doesn't give a fuck about one of the only things left: the supreme court. Besides making the manipulation of checks and balances very difficult, another way is for the people to respect and appreciate all the elements of their democracy. If the voters of a democracy don't have their democracy as the #1 priority, it is doomed to fail anyway.

This guy knows what's up.

that is unconfirmed

Leftist? So it's now left wing to oppose a dictator?

I hate the prophet Erdogon as much as the next guy, but he was "democratically"elected. Well his party was but you catch my drift.

there has to be some sort of check for "the democratically elected", he just keeps replacing people he doesn't like in the government and makes laws that bind institutions under his control. The democratic election doesn't mean much under these circumstances. For example is it democratic to make a referandum for "should we be a dictatorship instead?"
Because I'm 52% sure people would vote yes, then why don't we even bring that to the table, what people collectively want should be the right thing, no? (that's the portion of erdogan voters btw) No. An elitism intervention at some point has to be. No other way.

Being democratically elected does not automatically make you a dictator, and it is also not an excuse to keep terrible rulers in power.

>maidan
>coup
pick one.

a democratically elected and legal parliament vote to charge the president with mass murder isnt a coup.

the president willfully leaving the country for moscow because of getting charged with mass murder isnt a coup.

>1. Secretly gather support, you need the military and preferably the police. Also; these institutions need to have a hierarchical power structure because you want to keep the circle small.

>2. Identify key strategic points of the country. Airports, major cities, highways, means of communication, etc.

>3. Pick the right moment, a moment when civilians are preoccupied with other stuff. Nighttime and the weekend are decent.

>4. Time to execute. Arrest/kill whoever it is you're overthrowing straight away. You need to make it clear that you are now in full control. Military presence on streets, etc.

>5. Spin time. Convince civilians that this is somehow in their interest and that you will give your power back to them at some point. Either that go full stasi on them.

>6. Reassure surrounding countries, situation is stable, nothing will change, the works.

Turkeys coup attempt failed on nearly every point. They didn't gather enough support, they didn't get erdogan and they didn't have enough civilian support.

If they executed erdogan and his inner circle before anyone knew what was happening they might have prevailed. .

Clearly the answer is not to be afraid of killing people.

Kill all communications. All of them. No exceptions.

Set up curfew, enforce it brutally to instill fear on general population.

Strike regime hard, strike 'em fast, leave them no time to recover or play time to survive.

Coup crew should have been prepared to kill Erdogan in first hours of coup. Bomb the fucking hotel he was staying in or shoot down his private jet. Same shit with prime minister.

The communication part is very hard to do these days.

A coup should begin by cutting the snakes head (Erdogan).

All the security forces must believe it. Police, Gendarmerie and Armed forces must be united.

>2. Turkish generals announce that they want to REMOVE ERDOGAN

Nope, head of the field armies were on the TV, saying that they don't support coup. It was done by low rank people in military, they didn't say anything to soldiers and when soldiers noticed they are in the cities for nothing, they surrendered.

I think only a dozen generals supported it among 350 generals in the military.

>do it at 4-5:00 AM while everyone is sleeping
>destroy satellites
>kill/capture government's ministers
>and most importantly, use ENTIRE army, not a bunch of edgy group
