I have everything prepared for a Philly Cheesesteak right now, gonna caramelize the onions and green peppers, I also have some huge wild mushrooms that I'm planning to use, for the bread, It's just part baked long rolls that I shall stick in the oven for about 20 mins. The cheese though, we don't get Provolone in the UK, so I have a choice of Mature Cheddar, Buffalo mozzarella (in a bag with liquid), or dry grated mozzarella. Also, I'm gonna use a little bit of English Mustard. Like I said, I'm in UK, already had a few drinks so no driving to supermarkets. So you Amerifags, is there any way of steering this in the correct direction?
BTW, I tried /ck/, they are probably arguing about well done steak, ketchup and ramen.
>ruining a good steak with peppers Peppers aren't bad but they're overpowering. Idg why people put ketchup on cheesesteak either. You want to actually taste the cheese not some fucking vegetable shit

Just fly to Gino's or Pat's Steaks and see how it's really done. kek.
I'd go with the cheddar but it sounds good to me. It doesn't have to be "authentic" just good.
Connor Rivera
Yes, or you can mix butter and flour in a saucepan, make a roux, add heavy cream and then the cheddar to make a sauce. It should be good enough with a bit of salt.
Daniel Smith
Use the cheddar for sure

It's just a cheesesteak. There's no "Philly" in the name.

Yeah and that's surprisingly good but... no.

Holy shit Sup Forums was this site coded by chimps?
So. OP here, could I use a blend of mature Cheddar and both varieties of Mozzarella to substitute? Cheddar is such a boring and common cheese here in England...
As a euro fag here Instead of provolone i like to tap into my cum jars for a nice spread. Hope this helps OP

Oh fuck did I love Lexx on channel 5 late in the UK, I wanted to be Kai and wanted to be IN Zev, both versions...

ditch the mustard

Would've used dijon mustard over English. Mozzarella should be a fine replacement for provolone. That buffalo mozz in the bag. It's better to freeze it first and then grate it.
Josiah Allen
Hmm, fantastic advice Sup Forumsro, I do have some Dijon, but I prefer the 'sting' of the English version, the Buffalo Mozzarella in the part liquid filled bag states that it shouldn't be freezed. I still have a 'Tesco' ziplocked bag of dry Mozzarella that I can use. You are a very helpful user. Respect.
