Abortion, not being explicitly mentioned in the constitution was originally treated as a states right matter.
That means that (just as an example) the Gov. of Indiana could pass in their state constitution (assuming they get the necessary votes) that abortion is not legal and that would be the case for their state.
Roe vs. Wade was a very controversial decision because it decided that, to summarise, getting an abortion is protected because "her body her choice" and infringing that would be infringing on her right to privacy under the 14th amendment.
I'm not kidding. I'm not even for or against abortions (I couldn't care less) but that was a power grab by the supreme court placing something that is strictly a state matter (the founding principle of the USA) and made it a federal matter.
Now, how can Trump reverse it? Well, the same way it got passed in the first place.
With the blessing of 3 of his recently appointed supreme court justices (one of the could even be Cruz, in exchange for the delegates lol) one similar case could be fought all the way up to the supreme and the ruling could overturn Roe vs. Wade decision (not unprecedented).
Another way would be letting a state to pass a measure banning abortion and getting it ruled constitutional on the supreme, for the same effect.
Again, I'm not even for or against abortions. But it is a shame that America is straying from the founding principle that all powers belong to the state or to the people except the enumerated in the constitution and becoming a monstrosity like the EU.
States should be able to pass legislation that their own people want passed, be it banning abortions or banning transgender bathrooms and, if you can't live in such a state there is always California.
