It's a "recap" episode

>it's a "recap" episode

>it's a clip episode

>previously on....

>binge watch series
>Previously on...
>shit you saw just a few minutes ago
>Don't know whether or not you can skip it because the story continues before the opening starts playing

>It's a bottle episode

>It's a self referential clip show

>mid-season finale

>It's a backdoor pilot

wtf i love serial killing now?

>It's a Halloween episode

See, this picture has multiple layers. At first you think it's just a person shying away from the camera because he or she hates the thought of it, but then you do some research and find out that the person in question is Regina Kay Walters, one of the victims of serial murderer Robert Ben Rhoades, known as the Truck Stop Killer, and that she was only 14 years old when she was slaughtered right after this picture was taken, and then you remember that it's not so funny anymore and that people like OP should probably just shoot themselves because all the "edginess" in the world won't win them the admiration of their disgusted parents and peers.

Yeah. How's that recapping working out for you, OP?

>So here's watcha missed on Glee!

You're a huge faggot.

Didn't they stop being made 10 years ago?

Yeah. We just recapped that.

>shows character that hasn't made an appearance for 3 seasons
>episode features a "surprise return"

Objectively the worst episode of any given series

Often the best

>previously on spoils a returning character or plot

supernatural always does this

...

they know its a trope now, so they usually do an episode full of callbacks

>its a "dat ass" episode

What are the opposite of these called? You know the big event eps with all the main characters and even some recurring ones all doing like a mad dash type storyline? One of the ones that springs to mind is Thundergun Express from Always Sunny.

...

>the recap episode is the series finale

Leave it to Beaver actually did this first- one of the first examples of a proper series finale. It made sense then though considering shows could be rerun over and over again in syndication.

What the fuck?

>it's a "let's pitch a spinoff series to the investors" episode

>calls other people edgy while suggesting suicide an act that can get you in prison for attempted manslaughter

Irooooooooooooony,

Now search for "Regina Kay Walters"

That's what a backdoor pilot is you dip

>whole episode is a flashback

Does this dumb cunt really think the thumb is the trigger?

Yeah pretty much, I like old shows though. Was just watching Fresh Prince and it was a clip show... after 8 episodes.

that's the hammer hitting the firing pin you noguns mongoloid

...

you impress no one with your knowledge of make believe firearms

>episode is an episode

>it's a musical episode

>It's a mini series gets re-edited as one movie or a longer tv series
Any more examples of this?

Remember that simpsons episode that was a musical clipshow?

That was the fucking worst

kek that's one of the ones I had in mind. Back when I still loved The Simpsons I hated it when they showed that one.

...

Many shows do. Whoever's in charge of Previously...s are kind of shitheads for doing this.

>It's a bikini episode

How about community

>It's an episode that focuses entirely on a side character

FUCK YOU WALKING DEAD I DONT CARE ABOUT THE FAT LESBIAN AND HER ADVENTURES, I JUST WANT TO SEE NEGAN

this pic brings me to tears everytime
i've been on Sup Forums since '09 so i'm desensitised to everything but this still gets me

Basically any Previous on for every show I've watched will ruin at least 50 percent of the episode you're about to watch. Which characters will be focused on, which characters will return, who will probably die, what plot points will be resolved, etc. Some dvd or streaming episodes will keep it out but not always. Previously on clips were invented for old people with bad memory and young kids with ADD.

>i've been on Sup Forums since '09
oh wow, watch out, we have an old schooler here

>it's another episode of Rick & Morty

Yahoooo!

Wubbalubbadubdub!!!

>oh man XD i cant believe people like stuff that's difernt from wut i liek, what are they, REDDITORS???

>MC has sex with a girl
>She orgasms, sometimes twice

Why is this shit allowed?
It literally spoils the whole episode

>it's a skyler and marie episode

>Skyler

I fucking hate that cunt and whoever she fucked. I don't remember his name though...

theodore

you can remember it by the classic line "me and theo had sex"

>he hasn't made a girl orgasm twice in one session

Does she not like you?

>its a hank plays PI while Walt desperately tries to fuck up his plans episode
>its a Jesse is melodramatic about stupid bullshit episode
>its a Walt manipulates his family into hating his bitch wife episode

>he doesn't know

Dont listen the other fags, you are in the right here.

...

Does the Hobbit count?

>it's a no line of dialogue is spoke until the very last second episode

>only 3 more episodes until the heart pounding season finale

>Porno has a recap

>it's a "Slice of Life" episode

this looks like my dad

>Objectively the worst episode of any given series
Not true

>he doesnt have mad dick skillz

whats it like to be a beta-manlet-numale-cuck virgin?

user-kun you're such a faggot holy shit

>and an epilogue

MODS

Self-righteousness is just as insufferable as edginess
