I think many people dont quite understand what's happening here, so allow me to help. Nearby to this video, we can safely assume a couple of things. A storage container of Methane, Butane, or another denser than air gas that's highly flammable when mixed with air. The gas remained on the surface of the grass and spread along the entire area, indicating somewhere to be an extreme level leak in the system. As people filled the area, the wake in the air behind them mixed carefully the dense gas, and oxygen, producing a highly flammable explosive mixture. In this state, it has a far lower flash point, and thus will ignite with even mild temperature, if enough gas is densely packed into an area tight enough, it will lead to this. This place is probably at the bottom of a small hill or ravine, based on how thickly the gas filled the surrounding area, normally it would thin out and float away if your ventilation was any good, but hills prevent direct airflow over the gas, allowing it to collect. Public safety awareness, if you smell rotten eggs, or you hear a gentle hissing in a gas driven home, vacate immediately.

Explanation user back again. Based on the appearance of deep red flames that roll and grab outward, it's fairly safe to assume this is an exothermic Petrol station explosion. The function of explosives is different, and when petrol explodes, it's quitefiery, normally explosions arent quite as fiery, unless they are produced through the burning of a flammable liquid. This is extremely obvious in liquid fueled rocket boosters, and car fires, as the orange red flames of poorly burning petrol roll around objects, they produce a very sticky fire that is part boiling petroleum, and part fire. These explosions were actually the inspirations behind napalm, as we notice petrol burned slower and its explosions weren't so explosive, but more temperature related We congealed the liquid, and added a small amount of high explosives to counter act the affect of gelatinizing it. This produced a similarly sticky boiling petrol, mixed with fire, only the boiling point was higher, and the flash point was higher, allowing a thicker, greasier fuel mixture to be achieved
