It's a good movie, just not as good as his others.
In my opinion, mostly because the author of the book decided to be an edgelord and go all out with the violence. And of course Kubrick had to stay true to the book, so he also became and edgelord and went all out with the violence.
There really is no need for that much edgy violence to get the point across.
