runner up

this is obviously in a god tier on it's own

Didn't that have a laugh track?

yeah, hence the runner up position

Gavin and Stacy was absolute tripe.

Only Fools and Horses
Keeping Up Appearances
Bottom
Love Thy Neighbour

>I don't stoop to pick up men in the urinals
>That's not what I've heard

>A laugh track (or laughter track) is a separate soundtrack for a recorded comedy show containing the sound of audience laughter

For Example : League of Gentlemen

My Family was filmed in front of a live studio audience.

never seen bottom, is it worth the DVD find? no chance of pirating it

PhoneShop

Criminally underrated imo

this

>Only Fools and Horses
This but had a laugh track

>comfy
Misery, awkwardness and secondhand embarrassment is where it is at.

low tier it may be, but comfy it shall remain

>no chance of pirating it
I got them from kickass but obviously thats gone now. Yeah its a great show with crude humour if thats what you like

Don't care if it had a laugh track, it was still the best

>is it worth the DVD find
It has Rik Mayall in it, of course it is.

Yeah, it's great. Basically Proto Sup Forums as a sitcom.

Sirens was underrated too from the same era.

if i ever have a bad bought of depression i'll watch Peep Show and feel better about my life and social skills

>no chance of pirating it
Why?

>tfw I just remembered Rik Mayall is dead

cheers brother

>tfw he's not in Man Down anymore

Actually that's another Channel 4 sitcom from the era that was underrated. How did C4 have so many sitcoms in the early 10's, that don't get the credit they deserve?

we still got the videos

fuck, please don't

...

The only person's death to upset me more (who wasn't a part of my family or a friend) was David Bowie

Man Down was cracking. On the topic of Greg Davies, looks like Taskmaster is back on soon.

>rik mayall
>david bowie

terry wogan....

Yeah, end of April. Lolly Adefope, Noel Fielding, Mel Giedroyc, Hugh Dennis and Joe Lycett.

>that episode where they made Josh Widdicombe and only Josh Widdicombe perform a series of pointless counting tasks

The Thick Of It. I can put on any episode and marathon the rest.

Coupling

Pretty decent line-up that. It's odd that Dave is coming up with some of the best new shows on TV after how it started out.

>tfw just remembered Terry Wogan died
>also Ronnie Corbett
>Alan Rickman
>Leonard Cohen
>George Martin
>Muhammad Ali
>Gene Wilder
>George Michael
>Carrie Fisher
>Alan Vega
>Keith Emerson
>Greg Lake
>Rick Parfitt
God damn, last year was relentless

brian's next

Yeah, considering they used to just show reruns of old BBC shows (though they still do). Taskmaster's great and As Yet Untitled makes for comfy viewing.

I wonder how they'll split them up for group tasks this time around. Men v women would be a bit lazy.

Have they started showing Whose Line again yet? I totally cut them off after they stopped a few years ago

You can get all of the UK version on All4.

Don't you do it Mike!

Taskmaster, As Yet Untitled, Go 8 Bit, Modern Life is Good...ish, Crackanory, Hoff The Record and even new Red Dwarf have all been pretty good.

You must drink our tea!!

Thick of it

Can't say I've seen Hoff The Record. But the rest of them really are pretty good. Go 8 Bit got a little cringeworthy at times, but Modern Life is Goodish never fails to make me laugh, especially the spoken word poems.
