hey tech bros
should i go with seagate or western digital, what do you think?
prices are nearly the same, warranty on seagate is for 1 year while on wd its 2 years, but i don't think it matters as most of them last for atleast 3

WD
Either one will do. Technically, they both have the same functionality; just different branding.
you sure user?, i heard wd hard drives have a meme that they die off too quickly, and to be fair mine started acting dodgy after around 3 years and 2 months
you think so?, alright user, i'll keep looking for more answers, thanks for replying
thanks for that piece of info user, but it doesn't really fit what i need, western digital isn't there and i'm gonna buy the 2 tb model, which isn't listed
i appreciate the help though
Hgst is wd. Wd owns them and all their drives are essentially the same tech now. Did you even read the fucking article?
naw user, i skimmed through it mostly, i guess this does put it into perspective
And there is okay data from couple years ago for 2tb models. Lead a bitch to water. Just go away if you're not going to help yourself.
no need to be aggressive about it user, just wanted some answers
if you are a man you are aggressive. I think you have low-t brah. my sympathies.
almost trips of truth
you don't need to be aggressive without a reason, there's a difference between being manly and being a fag that can't control his anger
Actually, OP is more like a beta cuck.
i prefer the term soyboy
Bruh

All you will get here are insults and opinions. Use the data. FYI I've had 4 wd 2tb greens running for almost 8 years now. You must disable the green head parking feature for good longevity though, and never spin them down.
alright user, guess i'll go with wd, thanks
Western digital drives have been known to fail after a few years. Seagate is want you want Sup Forumsro. I speak from experience
alright, now i don't know what to choose, i'll do further digging, thanks
I've heard and experienced the same about Seagate. Multiple failed drives
Hitachi server drives are all I use now. Noisy, maybe, but who has a drive 2TB or greater and doesn't put it in a NAS anyway...
Seagate. Is. Trash.
all my WD and Seagate drives work after 10 years so I'd just buy whatever is cheapest and do regular backups of stuff you care about
yeah thats a smart thing to do, thanks, also checked
Pretty much
Trips don't lie. Brand loyal faggots don't understand that good/bad changes every model based on 9001 different factors.
Hitachi drives are die hard motherfuckers
Samsung Evo ssd.
But wd otherwise
Def. Western D. built like a tank, I have one in a drive read from 2009. Still works like new.
HGST. Nothing else.
My WD failed after 3 years but I abused it. Just bought a seagate to see how things go, so far so good
buy 2 make a mirror report back in 2-5 years and let us know which failed first.
>> help me obi one ken obe you're out only help
I went wd
