tax policy

Source material was shit.

>went away from politics to focusing more on cheap violence and sex
>dialogue got worse, started to becoming too "quirky"
>strayed away from the book which led D&D trying to write own material and it failed miserably
>started pandering to the tumblr crowd
>turned daenerys into muh strong women instead of an anti hero or villain
>all the good actors died

it became normie-core

Fat Man forgot to write the next book so hack writers couldn't piggy back anymore

The pacing changed so much. If you rewatch the first couple of seasons, everything was slow and brewing like you would expect from a show known for its political intrigue.

Now it's just fighting and fucking.

My official headcanon is that the series ends at season 4.

Tyrion goes to Essos but his ship is sank by a kraken and dies. Stannis and Jon repel the White Walkers and Jon dies in battle. Cersei dies of Tuberculosis, Tommen and Margaery rule with Jaime as leader of the Kingsguard. Daenerys is gangraped by her advisors and sold as a slave.

who cares, you need to go back

what went right?

D&D are hack-frauds who started moving away from the source material and thought they boiled down the formula to:
>Stronk womyn
>Randomly kill main characters for muh dramatic effect

Also they love Arya and Danny, two of the more boring characters, especially with their plot armor.

start pandering feminist

Arya was interesting for the simple fact that she was always hanging around the best characters on the show. Once Arya had her own Ark she folded.

>Danny
>boring

The way the show portrays her, definitely. But I think she has the potential to be the most interesting character by far. She's one of the few POVs that we've seen go from nothing, to a powerful man's wife, to being a leader and then ruler in her own right.

I like the idea of "absolute power corrupts absolutely", and she becomes like her father. It wouldn't be unexpected either, she's admitted that her end goal is continental supremacy with no chance of replacement.

It would be interesting to trick the audience by making them cheer for a would-be dictator in one season, only to pull the veil from their eyes at the end of it all. It's not a character assassination like with Stannis, it's who she is and what her ideals are.

This would be nice, But the leaks have proven that she's going to be hero with Jon snow. It's going to be a cliche happy ending

no bran in season 5 in favor of the dorniggers who were originally going to just be dropped if not for bryan cogman

I mean show Danny. Who hasn't been interesting since like season 4. And is now insufferable.
Also the "actress" sucks.

>no Bran
That was one good thing those hacks did. Bran's plot in the books is so incoherent and awful, and totally out of theme with the rest of the story. GRRM just goes full high fantasy retard sometimes

>she's going to be hero with Jon snow

Ah that sucks. Especially when, based on her ideals so far, it's just an endorsement of outright totalitarianism. If there really are only 14 episodes left, we won't even get to see her properly struggle with leading a land she's never known and a people she doesn't understand.

With strong women ruling all the kingdoms.

Source material was always shit

>write three great books in a relatively low-fantasy setting
>go high fantasy in the two latest books - almost universally regarded as a huge drop in quality from the previous ones
HMM WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG

>high fantasy in the two latest books
