Also can anyone tell me what movie this is from?

this movie. it's for me a masterpiece

...
Is that movie any good?
...
this was easily the worst movie I've ever seen you hipster
it's ok, Welles is great as usual but the story's kinda disjointed because it skips half the novel. it's very well shot though
Thanks, I'll check it out.
More? I love this movie
what film is this?
I also loved it
goes without saying, this and STALKER
I shit you not, too bad the plot is pretty garbage
I caught this while lazing around over the Christmas break. I can't see what qualifies it as great cinematography though. Only reason I didn't change channel was the food coma / drunken haze.
i just liked that particular shot really, bizarrely well done for a cheapo 50s british sci fi film.

really ?, it's was one of my favourite: )
maybe you prefer this ?

I just don't get how anyone can like Wes Anderson, it's just so cliched and le quirky

Brian De Palma's movies are so fucking dynamic

the latest incarnation with fassy and mia wasikowska is pretty good
I just liked that the trailer randomly uses a song from Suspiria

I'll probably check that out too.
I also don't really care if the movies follow the novel closely because I thought the novel went to shit once Helen Burns died.

>mfw Three kingdoms didnt have the budget but delivered much better battle of chibi
mad max

Mad Max Fury Road
It's not the same kind of shot in either execution or metaphor
Silhouette shots have been around forever but Sicario used darkness for a very specific purpose/narrative

Most of the battles are completely awful though
Deakins is such a hack, shooting the sky when somebody had already filmed it before.
what movie???!!!

i dont really like wes anderson for his story. it's like every scene look like a painting. he choose color wisely ,and put character at the right place .
it's also , for me at least , a "feel good movies".
I love Raimi
yeah but the show is carried almost singlehandedly by Cao Cao. Also I've noticed that most if not all of the 1 on 1 fights are fully choreographed, but for some reason horrible edited with close ups and jump cuts

That movie has the best soundstages of any movie I've seen

it's nuts
>tfw Othello is getting a Criterion but this didn't
pretty shocked theres no Barry Lyndon in this thread
...
...
...
As much as I think that Barry Lyndon looks good I don't think it's very cinematic. It's like a series of really well put together stills. It doesn't flow too well as a cinematic experience. Better as a series of pictures.

it had good composition. Had a good laugh at some.
>one hour picture

yes. deal wit it faggot
dolly zooms are underrated
>i wanna fuck that teen's ass

explain what makes this film have good cinematography
film?
The Double was surprisingly decent. I really enjoy it even if its a rip of the tenant.
Richard Ayoade is wasted on reality shows
