It really is as simple as practicing. Make a game. Text adventure, RPG, Discord Bot. Something you can afford to learn from but also enjoy so it doesn't become a chore. Make it fun, that's what I did!

Like any other kind of writing: read more of it. If decisions the author made seem confusing, refector it. You'll gain an appreciation and probably make a worthwhile contribution.

1. Practice daily. Force yourself (it is harder than it sounds but you are CAPABLE) and it will become a habit
2. Pace yourself and realize it won't happen overnight
3. Learn to love the process. This one comes with time but is achievable through willpower on a long enough timeline
4. Don't give up even if it gets tough. It will get tough and you will want to stop or quit
