So what's exactly so great about his movies?

So what's exactly so great about his movies?

The direction.

I liked him in UP

They are violent

>be Roman Catholic
>made debauched violent films

woah

They're good

rolling stones - rape murder starts playing

But not mindlessly so like Tarantino or most directors now days.

Why don't you watch them and find out for yourself?

His understanding on what the "To show medium" is !!!

You really shouldn't listen into this song, user. Mick tried to create the menacing feeling of the NY at time. In order to do so, he even spend the great deal of time to cherrypick a girl who sang lyrics at the beginning. Just let your mind flow over the sound.

After Casino - absolutely nothing. Probably the biggest underachiever of all time. How could he think DiCrappio was DeNiro-tier is beyond me. Wolf is legit one of the worst movies I've seen. The Departed was poor man's Heat/Donnie Brasco/Enemy of the State. The Aviator was actually solid, but nothing more. I need to see Silence, but I expect another dog shit. He's made far more shit movies than good ones.

Silence is Christkino

long single panning shots with a narrator speaking over it describing what's happening.

>Fuck fuckity fuck fuck fucking fuck [insert one line of dialogue] fucking fucker fucked fucking fuck fucks!!!

I hope so, because the cast is borderline awful and Scorsese's post-Casino record is awful.

>DUDE SCUMBAGS ARE COOL AND INTERESTING LMAO

Well Casino is one of the best movies of modern times. It is not like he can't match Armageddon like Bay.

Anyway, Silence is my personal favourite Scorsese film. This might change over time, but I was very impressed with it.

Hugo is pretty great.

Silence is mediocre.

This, every violent scene makes sense.

Bringing Out the Dead is great you fucking pleb

>Departed was poor man's Heat/Donnie Brasco
Donnie Brasco was a pure shit film for many stupid choices, it got a few things right but overall awful. Departed is better than that
