This is also why Europe strived while Asia stagnated; there were many competing European entities which incentivised each other to out-do each-other, while in Asia, China dominated the inland regions and had Japan in its' sphere of influence as well. This is why African population has been only a tiny fraction of the world's until the previous century.

Any discussion of colonization is pointless. The areas of white colonization are the only areas of wealth on the continent. Some areas today with white tourism also have wealth. Everywhere whites go wealth follows, everywhere blacks go poverty and crime follows.
