I've noticed the same behavior from posters who live in countries that are far from the "sphere of influence" of other countries. Posters from islands like the Philippines and Australia are far removed from the sphere of influence of neighboring countries.
And India is in some ways, an island nation like the Philippines and Australia are. its a subcontinent surrounded by mountains and oceans. It isn't heavily influenced by the sphere of influence of neighboring countries.
