While mutiny was a fairly large factor in the loss, it wasn't just niggers that did it, though I am sure they contributed a bit. They just made it worse, i'm sure.
Vietnam wasn't very winnable from the start, anyways. Too much opposition from US citizens, combined with the rice farmer's guerilla tactics proved to be a complete JUST-ining for the US.
