But we had one that was really fucking bad, Hurricane Hugo. It was retardedly strong for a hurricane that made it so far inland, and it did a lot of damage, but we survived, so we named ourselves after it.

The Charlotte Hornets' mascot is named after that hurricane, and the Hornets' name itself comes from something else that tried to kill us but couldn't.

I guess we just like to name ourselves after shit that tried to kill us, even if it has almost no connection otherwise.
