I play games. I spent 6 years in the military, fathered a child, and continue to work for the government. I'm single now, because I'll be goddamned if I let someone else dictate the way I spend my time not at work and give me sass when I express my intent, but that just means more time for vidya and playing the field. So many options, why tie myself down to one nag.

PC games used to be so much more. They took advantage of the board and mouse and added features of PCs to deliver a broadened experience to users.
Consoles also took advantage of their features(multiple controllers, control pads in general allowing great arcade and fighting titles, and platforming, etc) to deliver a great fun game experience.
Now "consoles" are used to watch paid-for TV shows and movies(in a time when digital media is post scarcity and there's no good reason to pay for the fucking shit beyond a stupid sense of loyalty) and play FPS rehash.

Not every game is Candy Crush. Try playing ARMA, XCOM, Witcher, Civilization, even CoD or Minecraft. You will find they are complex games, with very enthusiast communities with a lot of facets, they aren't simplified shit made for children.
