More an observation from the coup: only men counted in the clash of force. Erdogan/AKP could rally more mobs of men, and armed men (Police) to storm the positions of other men (Army) and win the night.
Only men counted once the coup went into effect, it was a battle of who could mobilise more men and armed men into the streets. Women did not count.
Now look at the electoral politics of Western countries. Men vote overwhelmingly Right and Hard Right, including armed men. The only reason the Left can win is because of women and the female electorate irrationally voting for suicide.
But if it comes to a coup, or a clash of force, all those women voters do not count for the Left, only men willing to mobilise and fight count, and so the Right wins by default.
Once it comes down to a clash of force the political fate of your movement is decided by your support amongst men alone. If there is a sharp gender divide in your politics, like there is in the West, the has huge consequences for both sides.
