I liked the movie, acting all of it.

actually when I put it on it was going to be a background movie while I played a game, but I got pretty into it. I like the flow and the story.

Yea I didn't like it. It wasn't nearly as good as other Scorsese movies.
I thought it was really slow with not much going on. I was expecting it to pick up as the movie went on but it never did. Also I over hyped myself because I like the director and the actors even though all the actors are old as dirt now

So much potential but it just fell flat. I think the main reason is that its too fucking long. Many parts were way too slow and the action scenes way under delivered.

Yeah, it started out good for about the first 30 minutes. I thought it was cool how they could make those old guys look young again in the 1950's, with DiNiro driving a truck, stealing the loads, turning into a hit man, and the old cars were great. Then the last couple of hours were boring union politics and a total waste.

Nothing to do with politics at all, just hated the (lack of) plot and the indulgent excessive dialogue. In fact i think the only politics involved were way outdated union related politics, no real contemporary political message one way or the other

You've obviously never seen Scorsese's other movies. This was trash. Editing could've saved this movie, or just turn it into a 3 hour miniseries

Definitely disappointing. Needed a different editor. Acting was fine. Got pissed off at them trying to pass off De Niro as a 30 year old at the beginning. Long, kinda boring, a bit hard to follow. Didn't hate it, but not worth rewatching.

They did a fine job, the acting was great but the story was told terribly. There was no arc, just one event after another. And the violence had no impact because i never got invested in any character
