Never driven a miata but from what I've seen they usually eat v8s with a little modification. Especially handling. Stock they will tear a track up better than any v8 with a comparable price tag. Just cause they look feminine doesnt make it a beast on the track. Just like porsche

What kind of performance are we talking? Straight line or corners? A miata might be slow in a straight line but you can give much more expensive faster cars a run for their money in the twisties. Crotch rockets are especially fun to cruise with.
