The two best films are IV and VI. They are pretty different, though. IV is more in line with the earlier entries, and VI is the first of the immortal zombie Jason movies, and has a lot of comedy. So it's hard to pick between them.

The first three were pretty good. 4 and 8 were bad but had their moments. 7 is underrated. 9 has Jason in it for like 5 minutes. 10 is in space, enough said. From a purely horror perspective, it's got to be one of the first 3.

I was hoping that after 10 when he goes to space in the future, that they would just start putting Jason in different stupid settings. Jason attacks an arctic research base; Jason finds a time machine and visits different historical periods; Jason vs. zombie apocalypse; etc.
