The only thing that you need to know is that acid doesn't give people bad trips, you give yourself a bad trip. Don't be afraid of dark or grotesque thoughts, simply observe them as you are observing everything else on the trip and they will pass in an instant. Don't ignore bad thoughts, tackle them head on by reminding yourself that your brain is in the middle of a journey, and that bad thoughts like bills or desth can be dealt with after your trip.
This mindset has resulted in a 100% success rate for good trips. I've done acid about 15 times and shrooms more than i can count

Oh yeah, and if you ever get to the point where you're tripping too hard and want to be normal again, revel in the fact that acid will completely stop effecting you after sleeping. Sometimes i wake up after a massive trip and it feels like I didnt even take acid. Its forgiving like that, as opposed to mushrooms where you feel like you're high on hash the entire next day

No expectations. Just ride the trip through it's current and go wherever it take you. Keep the good vibes. Listen to music you like. Draw if you want. Write what and how you're thinking. Self reflect and try to piece together how to become closer to your higher self. Solve problems you normally wouldn't be able to solve sober (inventions, theories on things, how to do something etc).
