Do these look legit to you? Anyone ever heard of the brand "finscar" before? They did some digging online and I cannot find any evidence of this brand name existing in the pharmaceutical industry.

It says it's from Russia right on the package but I don't know. I bought them from a trusted and credible source online and I have bought anabolics from them in the past, so the supplier have a good track record but the only reason I'm question in this project in particular is because I bought them for a good deal like literally 70% off and I don't know why they would sell them for so cheap

I bought it from a trusted online supplier, I just have my doubts if this is legit finasteride I guess. I have a follow-up doctor's appointment in 3 months where they will most likely be giving me a prescription for it anyways but I just couldn't wait that long wanted to get on the stuff as quickly as possible so I went with this route

To combat male pattern hair loss. definitely noticed that I may be a sufferer of a receding hairline, did a lot of research online and from what I can tell the most effective treatment aside from hair transplant or minoxidil is taking 1mg of finasteride pill daily. The 5 mg stuff is cheaper so I've just been using a pill cutter and taking a little piece of it every morning

there's tools at my disposal that I can use before it's time to man up and lose it so I'm going to try this out if I'm unsuccessful I'll be taking out the buzzer.

I've been on that website I know all about post finasteride syndrome. I know Sup Forums is the last place where you want to bring up Reddit but there are a lot of help for articles on there if people who have been taking the stuff without issue and having great success with it I think it only affects less than 10% of males who take the drug. Possibility of developing harsh side effects is there for sure but so is the possibility of getting into a car crash every time you get behind the wheel is how I look at it I guess.

That shit is Russian Roulette. For some guys your dick shrinks to the size of an infants and you basically are hypogonadal until you die. Merck's patent on it probably ran out so it's sold under generic names now. Anyone can produce it.

Finasteride is not a tool that should be at your disposal

It blocks DHT which is your main male sex hormone. Does that seem like a good idea?

The thing to keep in mind is the IF you get the side effects - shrunk dick, impotence, weakness, muscle atrophy , brain fog, etc. those side effects are PERMANENT. I know of people who have been like that for 20 years. Some kill themselves.

well guys I really don't know what to do on one hand I really want to keep my hair but on the other hand I understand that messing with DHT this is playing with fire especially since I'm only 22 and have not fully completed puberty in my opinion (still have slight boyish features) so I'm at a loss as to what I should do

As much as the possibility of me losing my hair kills me inside, I'm slowly coming to terms with it if it happens. Sure, I won't have hair. But knowing that constantly worrying about it will be a thing of the past if/when it does happen, just relieves me. Like just saying fuck it and shaving it all off and growing a beard. There will be that weight off of my shoulders.


I hope that natural hair restoration becomes a thing soon at the rate that medicine and technology are advancing. Maybe.

My advice? Save as much as you can for a good hair transplant. Not one of those shitty Turkish transplants that you can get for a few grand. There are some clinics in North America that do unbelievable work but it'll run you 10+ grand. Put some serious money away then go for the transplant in your 30's. By this point your loss pattern will be well established and the surgeon can make a plan. Talk to the surgeon about doing a conservative hairline. You're not gonna want to try and replicate an 18 year old straight across hairline because there isn't a chance in hell you'll have enough donor hair for proper density.

Conservative/slightly receded hairline thats packed densely will look super natural and leave you with enough donor left to fill in any future loss, if you experience it.

My question to you is if someone has the genes to go bald in the back of their head and has receding hairline in the front and the surgeon takes donor hair follicles from the back of their head and puts them on the hairline are those follicles that we're at the back of the head and have now been moved to the front of the head still going to die off at some point like they would have if they were just left alone?

I'm sure you've noticed the horseshoe pattern hair that even the baldest of bald dudes hold on to. The hair in that area is extremely resistant to DHT and that is the hair that is transplanted. So the transplanted hair is permanent, if the surgeon marks out the donor area properly.
